Actually I remember watching Yao play in 2008 Olympics and he was diving on the court for lose ball and I was like, STOP DOING THAT YAO! He was China's superstar, 7'6" 330 lb of him diving for lose ball at the Olympics and it showed me how passionate Yao is for the game. I wish Yao didn't come back because after that he missed the rest of the playoff. That was the peak for Yao in NBA. If he wasn't injured as often, he was the perfect go-to big man. He was unguardable at 7'6", even Shaq couldn't stop a mature Yao and Yao gave Shaq problem. You couldn't foul him because he was such a good shooter and he passed well and could shoot 3s. If Yao had better support, Rockets could've won

Nah, Ralph Sampson was never 7'4 to begin with. He was 7'2 at most, look at his pics standing next to 7'2 Kareem Abdul Jabbar. On the other hand, Yao Ming came into the NBA measuring 7'5 but has actually grew 1-2 inches since so he's probably closer to 7'7 now.
