To sell an ebook for $39, how many pages does it have to be (on average)?
@MollyKeyser2 сағат бұрын
have you ever purchased a book because of number of pages? Or have you purchased a book because of what you will gain from reading it? Same thing with digital products. Price then based on the result they’ll be gaining from consuming and taking action on what they learn in your digital product.

When I script word for word, I get lost and flustered. Bullet points work better for me, but I have a friend who prefers to read from a teleprompter. I feel like that is somewhat personal choice, but I’m a small channel, open to learning. 😊
@MollyKeyser21 сағат бұрын
Yeah try different things and see what works best for you :) for my channel personally it grew a lot faster once it was scripted. I memorize a couple lines at a time and then deliver them naturally. (Learned this technique from the KZbinr MKBHD)

thanks Molly ! The big takeaway is building the e-mail list straight away from the beginning. I was planning to do some sales first before building the list. But if I don't want to create another product yet like a course or rely on affiliate marketing, to sell my ebook, what freebie can we put instead as a lead magnet ? a checklist, a free chapter ?
@MollyKeyser2 күн бұрын
Great takeaway! If you do sales before building a following and email list, who will you sell to? How will you know what they want? And yes creating a freebie is key. I teach all about that in my FCC membership if you want to check it out: freedomcreator.co/club?el=youtube

You can host your digital products using Systeme.io, Skool or even google drive depending what type of digital product you create.

So when you make your email list, you want a freebie to draw people in. How big should you make the freebie? For example, I'm a fused glass artist. I want to sell both an ebook of fused glass projects, and eventually a membership through patreon. I was thinking that my ebook could be five ways to make fused glass dots. They're pretty much what they say on the tin, tiny little circles, or dots, of glass, that could be used in a variety of projects. My ebook would tie into them, and I've done videos on KZbin about them. This would just be five ways to make them that people hadn't thought of. Would that be going a bit big for a freebie?
@MollyKeyser4 күн бұрын
You want it as big as it needs to be to delivery what you're promising and no longer. Longer is not better. In fact a quick checklist or done for you template is often your best bet but just depends on what your niche is, etc.

Molly, how are you using other platforms other than YT to get traction? Can I be successful without showing my face?

📚 Yes e-books are different than hardback and softcover books yet they do teach that's why they've been used in schools and colleges successfully since education began. I merely meant it's a false narrative to believe an average especially new writers can sell expensive e-books. NY Times Best Seller John Grishom has the number one record for the infamous list over every other author. He has almost 50 consecutive number ones books and his e-books don't sell anywhere close to $40.
