Thanks for all the info. Question on gearing with the tires, is it running stock gears? I see an option for 35t rear sprocket with an 11t pinion. Would that be the same as stock?
@HBFTimmahh2 ай бұрын
Yes still running stock gears/gearing. Stock drive sprocket is 10t, so an 11t will get you more top end, a little less low end. Should the wheel sproket be less teeth than the stock, then you'll gain more top speed, and lose a little more lowend torque (less wheely ability) which may/should be ok as it doesn't take Much to yank up a wheely. Stock is 10/36 sprokets.
@gmummy2 ай бұрын
@HBFTimmahh Thank you for the fast and accurate response. I just got the new Proline street tires which appear smaller diameter than stock, thinking overall with the different gearing it should maintain the same top speed which i got at 40mph. Looking forward to more content. Thanks again!
@HBFTimmahh2 ай бұрын
@@gmummy Yes, the Pro Line Supermoto tires are smaller than the stock MX Wheels. As you may have seen in my build, I used the Treal Wheels and the Vitavon Supermoto Tires, that are the same size as the stock dirt tires. So I would say you're likely correct in that the speeds will be about the same, maybe a bit faster if you went to an 11t drive and 35t wheel sprockets.

No worries. the stream fully ended so the live chat shut down. for 600ish, you can get into a decent Yokomo SD (Super Drift) and go from there. If you go with the MST get the 2.5 or newer rigs. But the comp guys got some $$ in their rigs for the most part
@Jordan-qv1hq2 ай бұрын
@@HBFTimmahh what is so expensive about there setups?
@HBFTimmahh2 ай бұрын
@@Jordan-qv1hq The entire thing. lol as example, you can buy a Yokomo SD rig for 749.00. It still needs electronics. Futaba Gyro can be between 100-140 depending what one. Good servo is 130 - 200. ESC 220-250. Motor 100 - 180. Then you'd still need body, wheels/tires and radio system. And the SD can still be upgraded from there aka Shark components or other changes/mods/upgrades. A GLAM rig is around 900 and up for the kit.

How often you have to maintenance the chain and brakes
@HBFTimmahh10 ай бұрын
Not often on the brakes. stock can be a little sticky and stops the front wheel from free spinning. there are a few mods to help deal with that. chains vary. Lube it with dry chain lube. Spektrum radios won't connect the tx and rx with any throttle or brake input. Holding full brake, turn on your car... only problem is the rx doesn't connect. Let off brake and then go back to full brake, esc calibration has been interrupted. Let off brake, esc senses half throttle. Can't find a resolution for this anywhere.

Im not super familiar with Spektrum Radio gear. Was never much of a fan. So I don't really know as much as I should about them. Have you tried rebinding the radio to tx returning everything to default settings. then try to recalibrate to the esc?

Another likely suspect was proximity to the rx. I had the tx pretty close to the rx, and in a 2.4 system that can cause some funkyness. I'll try it again this week and make sure the bike is at least 10 feet from the tx.

Red Tailed Hawks aren't picky eaters. You already know this since this hawk was eating roadkill when you found it. As far as feeding her, any kind of raw meat will do. I always say, the bloodier, the better! I'd say chicken livers ought to do it, or any other innards from the prey. That's where all the nutritional value is, which is why whenever hawks eat their catches, they'll rip a hole in the middle and slurp down the innards! They can easily eat that in one gulp! Then the hawk will have a full crop and she'll be good for the next couple of days! Also, if you want to guess, I do want to become a Falconer one of these days so that I can hunt with a Red Tailed Hawk!
