Hello there I just got my new Yamaha 4 stroke super jet I finished my first 5 hours riding with half throttle so that I can break in the engine and honestly it wasn’t fun at all going slow:( Should I continue with the half throttle for the next 5 hours before the first service?

Awesome dude! Congrats on the SJ. Check your manual to be sure but, I thought only the first 2 hours were 1/2 throttle, and then hours 3-10 were pretty much whatever you wanted without prolonged minutes at top RPM. Who can stay pinned for longer than a minute anyway 😂 good luck dude.

What are those things side of the mat? Is that for your foots when you are trying to do submarine stunt?

I believe jet trim refers to them as runners. It acts more like a pad so your ankle bone and shin can really put leverage on the side in turns. At least that is what they are for me. They are much to high to “lock” your feet into like footholds for me. Hope this helps, thanks for checking us out🤙🏽

Double sided thermal tape against a actively cooled part( inside the hull or a intake) works really well in a hot bay. Normally used for gluing heatsinks on chips.

Dude, you did the Riva air intake! Looks so bad ass, Wish you did a video of the install😂 was it pretty straightforward? I plan on ordering one. a few of the guys on the Facebook group said don’t install it because it doesn’t add power but I find that hard to believe it just looks like it sucks so much more than the stock.

I actually ordered my superjet in 2020 I didn’t get one until 2023. I had a LOT of time to order parts while waiting😂. The intake, electronics relocation, and free flow exhaust were all installed before I ever decided to start a KZbin channel. I do have the stock ones still, maybe I can swap em back and do some videos on them.🤔. I will def put back on the stock intake before taking her into the surf. It does look good!

Yep that’s exactly what was happening with mine, especially when you add the ProWaterCraft quick steer. So far I have bought 3 cables from SBT. They all require additional work, but I am zeroing in on the solution.

I would prob be on a round nose SJ if I didn’t do most of my riding in a National Park, lake mead, that has outlawed 2 strokes. But it’s zippy and as I dial it in more and more for my liking I’m pretty stoke with “big” 4 stroke. You can’t go wrong either way!🤙🏽 thanks for the comment dude!

Same problem with the over glue. Mines way worse as the glue covered the dry erase marker I used. I think acetone is the way, but be careful not to get it on the mats

I actually thought of you guys last week because we rode our sit downs from Laughlin to Needles. The day before we rode from Lake Havasu to Topock 66 and on another day we rode from Cottonwood Cove to the bottom of The Hoover Dam, on Memorial Monday we rode just north of Yuma and the Imperial Dam and finally we rode the Parker strip at the end of our week long adventure. Great use of the drone that you almost lost and the 360 footy too. Nothing like having a wife that can back a trailer too. Looked like one heck of a fun time for all!

Thank you so much for the support @KingsOfKush🤙🏽 I’ve tested a few different setups and when I go ride buoys it’s a real grippy plate like the Riva one I did the video on. And for the grate anything scooped helps me keep the pump loaded and eliminates the cavitation slide out stuff. It also gives you some brakes. I like my Riva grate but I would have bought, and still want to try, the water cross of Texas scoop grate, unfortunately it wasn’t out yet. Good luck dude let us know what you settle on!

Are your controls wiring cables tangling with your steering cable? I have seen many time that it is required to change your steering cable out to the last model superjet “round nose” cable that is shorter. I did not do that yet and realize the issue when my steering cable bottoms out on the cable not the stop on the riva pivot system.

@@adudeadad it seems to be the throttle line is bunching up on me because it’s now a 3-4” run shorter with the bars being closer. Someone told me to pull excess into the hull on the SuperJet forum on Facebook but we will see if that’s possible to do or not

They change to the round nose steering cable cause it is several inches shorter. I’ll order one and install it, I prob should have anyways. I’ll try to get a video up on it in the next few weeks. Sounds like I will need to do the same thing, I have the riva steering system showing up this week and plan on installing immediately, riva didn’t say anything about having to change steering cable, that a lil frustrating, love your channel dude!
