Bike Lanes are not there for vehicles to use to bypass other vehicles. They are for bikes. If you believe that you are allowed to drive a Lynx bus in a bike lane to pass other traffic, maybe you might reconsider your career choice.

I know this is very old but this video helped me out a lot! My condensor fan began rattling like many other about a year after purchasing a used smart fortwo. Now i did go the route of installing an aftermarket fan up front because i didnt want to dive into draining and refilling coolant/freon. But the entire process only took about 2 hours largely because of this video. Thanks again!

@@smartcarfor2 i have no big plans for the little smart. I bought it from a coworker as a commuter. Compared to my pickup and 13.5 mpg, 39 mpg average is something im glad i had when gas prices went through the roof! Actually my smart looks exactly as yours, black and silver accents.

@@UserFormelyKnownAs_hjkh Funny ... I purchased my Smart brand new in 08. I owned a 2004 Ram truck. 5.7 L hemi, nice dual exhaust and a beautiful black metallic paint. Loved that truck. When gas prices shot up to over $4.00 a gallon I simply couldn't afford to keep it fueled up. It was costing well over $100 per tank and I would often use nearly a tank of gas in one day. I regret selling the truck. But the Smart was a blast to play with.

I'm glad it was helpful! I was by far more adventurous with my Smart than most any car I ever owned. The mild modifications like the DRL's and the LED conversions & rear light bars were very eye catching. I had a huge audio system (Given the size of the car) that included a large display that I could watch movies on (While parked of course). The bass was breath taking. My wife assured me that it shook the dishes in the house as I came up the street. Every panel shook on the car. (Fun times but may explain my lack of acute hearing now.) New Smarts are not sold in the US and I am pretty sure Mercedes has divorced itself from them, I never see them on their used car lots. It would be cool if Smart brought back the original Roadster but as a performance EV. Sorry for the run on LOL. What did you have to do to your car?

@@smartcarfor2 Yeah I am happy with mine since 2008, it is a pretty reliable small thing. I put a pair of Bilstein B14 on it, I needed to remove also the front head lights to access the top of the suspension tower. They are not really stiff or harsh, the ride quality is improved. I think they sold Smart, the Roadster is a nice car, especially swapped with a Turbo 451 engine. You can still find used ones in EU for an affordable price.

You see, I was about to learn what it is like to pass a kidney stone. Which I did. I was in so much pain. After passing that spawn of the devil, I spent a day recovering and then I had to finish the job and reassemble the car and not miss a day at work. Soooo, I worked with the footage I had and it seems to have done the job pretty well. 150K views and counting LOL. Take it easy.

Tell me a bid about your SMART and what you are working on.

It may seem confusing from anyone watching your video that you need to remove the whole front end off the car! (no need) But that is what it looks like. What wiring guidelines are you talking about? If you are going to do a video explaining how you have done this then you should not be vague in parts of it. How many people would know what the "front stalk marker light" looks like? or even which wire to connect to it! What was the idea of pointing your finger at the manufacturer "In situ" fog light plug? for the purpose of someone watching it would also be confusing unless you explain fully. This is something you should have explained in more detail. Unlike many other comments i have read, the music is good for me and thanks for what you've done. Just to reiterate people, you do not need to dismantle the car to fit DRL'S! :)

I thought the rain on the first day added to the experience, not detracted from it. I've got a couple videos on my channel. But I recorded hours of video never posted. Since my channel is a bit heavy on retro stuff, I guess I could still post some of that old stuff. Oh, I read some of AlchEm1st88's comments. What a jerk with the getting hit by a truck comment. How many times do smart drivers hear that assinine comment? You should've asked him what he'd enjoy being in when clobbered by a semi, heh. Still have your smart? Mine is still doing alright and will have its 10th birthday in June. I took delivery 7/12/2008. I'll drive it until the wheels fall off.
