People who make youtube videos should learn how to make a video without a lot of background noise.

Great thanks for sharing. When you added fuel I noticed the values in the individual tanks did not change. How do you reset so that both tanks reflect the fuel you added?
@karlsandin4515 Жыл бұрын
thats based on how much fuel is in the tanks, the sensors in the tanks measure this.
@hobbit44863 жыл бұрын
Thanks guys. Only one question, it sounded like you said to torque the tank nut at "28 inch-pounds....19 foot-pounds". ?? These are not close to the same value. I assume it's 28 inch-pounds, correct? Thanks so much for this video. Going to be doing my first oil change and getting the new filter on quickly, and not draining for a long time are very important, and glad you noted that for me, so I don't have to repurge and all that (which I've forgotten how to do :))

Thank you!!! Been looking at Garmins videos and they do not explain how to do this. Probably because its so simple, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who was having trouble figuring out how to change these...

Why the need to periodically replace the gear legs? Do they fatigue over time? I’m actually interested in the taildragger with the Alaska bush landing gear option for my grass airstrip.

Thank you sir. I’m looking forward to getting some instruction from you. I have a 1650 foot grass airstrip on my farm in the rolling hills of southwestern Pennsylvania.

Lou - I think they are wired incorrectly. If there was a generator failure and you wanted to shed load it would’ve good to run G3X off its backup battery - but you can’t. It will only run off its backup battery if the avionics switch is off.

Just curious, why doesn’t the lead sludge drain out with the dirty oil during the oil change?
@john84514 жыл бұрын
Most of it does, but some of it will stick to the inside walls of the oil reservoir.

@@AV8R_1 About the oil change interval or the Rotax TBO interval LOL. I am just not a fan of Rotax ancient technology and relatively low MTBF. Nothing personal, Rotax are 30-50 year behind modern engine tech and I steer clear of these rattle boxes.

After the last oil change, each time the engine is started the oil pressure rises to the maximum scale of the instrument and lasts for 1 or 2 minutes. Then it returns to normal. I flew about 20 hours and the problem persists. I used semi synthetic oil MOBIL 10w-40. I live in southern Brazil for most of the year the temperature is below 20º Centigrade. Could you help me with some information of what is wrong going on? Thank you very much

You are skipping many steps. 1. you need to remove the mag plug first and inspect it for metal filings. 2. you then drain the oil warm. 3. then remove the filter and cut it open inspecting for metal filings. 4. replace filter and refill fresh oil, then run to check for leaks before replacing the cowl.
