I cringe when you sew over pins. How often do you take your machine in for problems.
@gretchenhalle389317 күн бұрын
I have had this machine for about 17 years. I’ve never had a problem. As long as you sew with the pins perpendicular to your needle you should be able to sew over them fine.

@gretchenhalle389317 күн бұрын
you can make the tucks any size you like! Sew each tuck a little bit smaller as you go. So sorry for the very delayed response!

Nice demo. Thank you . I would like to see the one on the same right hand side page 65, lower left hand side (your finger is right on 14:25), III-25- "headed ruffle with box pleats between deep points contoured into each faced edge....blah...blah..blah..." :-) P.S. I still don't like this book. I wish the seams were at least color coded on diagrams :-)

Thank you VERY MUCH for demonstration!!!! I bought this same book many years ago, and in many cases I couldn't figure out instructions. Book was very expensive containing very poor quality pictures. I was so disappointed. You made it better :-) I wish you show more of techniques.

What is the book name please
@incanada833 жыл бұрын
@@Mumma0423 the book title is "The Art Of Manipulating Fabric" by Colette Wolff. P.S. This book has many poor quality black and white (gray) pictures. The manipulated fabrics are white with white tread and black drawings with black lines. Hard to see what's what. I wish the author used different color tread on fabrics/ drawing, so it would be visually easier to follow. I don't like the book at all. These videos are VERY handy and I am thankful for Gretchen Halle for showing and explaining how-to :-)

@incanada833 жыл бұрын
Rubaya Afrin, the book is titles " The Art Of Manipulating Fabric" by: Colette Wolf If you like to play with fabrics, you may like to check out theses books? Those are my favorite by far! 1. "Folded Fabric Elegance" by: Rami Kim (color pictures, and much better explanation) 2. "Fantastic Fabric Folding Innovate quilting projects" by: Rebecca Wat. 3. "Innovative Quilt Patterns Inspired by Japanese Sashiko and Origami Traditions" By: Kumiko Sudo (has very good colored pictures and templates). 4. "Beautiful Quiltagami new Ideas for Fabric Folding" by: Mary Jo Hiney ( it has color pictures and templates). It's not all about quilting. It shows the use of really neat way to use fabric and how someone chooses to incorporate it's up to imagination :-)
