What sealer was used ? Can I get it at homedepot ?
@RoniShawnАй бұрын
Yeah they look soo dull without the seal. We have a bunch of river rock in our flower beds (not by choice). I pick them out and use for decor. I like to put nice rocks in plants. But I want them to shine like wet. These rocks in the beds out here are soo colorful when it’s raining or when I spray them down. So I’m wondering what I could use for small projects?

Nice! You’re doing the same thing? I just do small decorative projects with them (we have a bunch in our flower beds, but I’m a renter so I can’t seal them).

Is hardware cloth better to prevent weeds or landscape cloth?
@matthewdudley88187 ай бұрын
The wire is for gophers. Landscaping cloth should be used only if you have things like Bermuda or crabgrass. Other than that, it's pretty useless for keeping out weeds which will blow in anyway

Very nice. I have all rock front and back yard. I need to do something about it and fast. Also the rocks keep going to the sidewalk and it’s frustrating what can I do ? I truly need the help
@Dee03367 ай бұрын
I installed this on the edge next to the sidewalk to keep the rocks from moving to the sidewalk. Bought from Lowe’s. Cut to fit, keeps a nice gap from your yard to sidewalk. Rubberific 24-ft x 3-in Brickface 6-Pack Brown Rubber Landscape Edging Section

i am also in the process of planning to replace front yard with gravel. i think this is great idea, saving water and low maintenance. but i think this needs landscape designer to decide on the overall color theme, choice of rock(size, color, shape), choice of plant(color/shape/size/type of cactus), arrangement of plant..etc.

Why would someone want to live in the middle of a stone quarry?
@caguilarga11 ай бұрын
Probably because they are elderly folks that live there this yard requires a lot less maintenance and since everything is now on a drip system there’s really nothing to do except hire someone occasionally to shape the bushes

Waste of time folks! Maybe it looks shiny if you’re right there but it doesn’t look shiny in this video at all, especially if it’s got a double coating. You could shine a light on the whole lot and do it again Dudley Dude…what about that? I ‘d love to see the real thing. Also you didn’t answer the question in the last comment and that was a year back. I’d love to know the answer to that too. Why enable comments if you don’t address them? In fact there aren’t any answers to any of the questions I see on this page. If you want to see a name for a product that’s all you get. Unfortunately a truly poor attempt.

this is the problem i have with 79% of videos. the title is "how to make your landscape rocks shine." well, okay, sounds like what i'm looking for except for one thing: you show us dull rocks. you show us somewhat shinier rocks. you show us still shinier rocks. ok. shinier rocks. cool. but what you ignore/skip over/fail to mention is the "how." it's right there in title. "How"

Thanks for showing this video! I’m trying to find something that will allow the immense amount of leaves and pine needles that fall on my garden rocks every day! They get stuck in between and ruin the look of the gardens. I’m hoping with this double seal it will allow the leaves to sit on top and allow me to use the blower on the leaves and make my life a tad easier!
@bexyrexy10 ай бұрын
That’s a great idea! I just started doing this method with river rocks in a succulent pocket garden (2-3 layers of sealer). But now that you gave me this idea, I may opt to seal the smaller white rocks I have in the flower bed too! The falling leaves and debris drive me crazy and take forever to manually pick out

Hey Mathew, could I pick your brain a bit? Im wanting to lay gravel in my front yard however the dirt is very stoney and uneven. Would laying filler dirt first, a weed barrier second, and then gravel last be a the way to go? Ive never done something like this before. Thank you in advance!
