#Brightline #gobrightline It was the worst travel experience of my life, 3 hours of pure suffering, even though I bought a Premium ticket, supposedly first class. Uncomfortable seats that didn't recline, very bad service. On this trip with #Brightline I had to throw away, from my CHECKED luggage from my plane trip, a Swiss “Cyber Tool” worth US$300.00, and the reason was the most frightening possible. The checked luggage on the Brightline train is not stored in a secure place, and anyone has access to the luggage and could take the tool to commit some kind of crime, that was the allegation of the security employee in Miami. If anyone can access, search my luggage and steal my “Cyber Tool” from inside my suitcase, that same person could steal anything from my suitcase, or even steal the suitcase, or something much worse could happen, someone could put something illegal, like illicit drugs, inside my suitcase, that is scary and very dangerous. In the end, I had to throw away a tool that accompanied me for more than 20 years, and on trips to several countries, because Brightline does not offer adequate security to its passengers, which is absurd. If you have to check any luggage, BE CAREFUL, checked luggage is stored in an environment with no security whatsoever, where anyone can have access. This information was given by the employee at the luggage reception in Miami and was confirmed by a customer service employee in Orlando. Due to the lack of security and discomfort, I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT. Use any other means to get to Orlando, but do not use the damn Brightline.

I rode on BrightGreen with my family on October 12th ORL-MIA at 6:50AM EST. What was super cool and rare was that train had 5 cars and they were all the same color. Also that train's horn had the overblowing issue that the SC-44s on the Amtrak Pacific Surfliner have which made the horn sound so much better especially on the 110 mph zones.

Brightline is not really adding capacity, their capacity is really the same instead of 10 sets of 4 traincars it's now 8 sets of 5 traincars so BL is running 14 trains instead of 16 that's why their trains are more crowded by consolidating the same capacity by running lesser trips so that their more profitable
@trainlover123trainsrock2 ай бұрын
Yeah, where’d you get that information from
@caseydorn33092 ай бұрын
Nope. It's 9 10 car sets instead of 10 4 car sets. 1 set is out of service each day but what matters is frequency. Let's do the math. They had 40 cars. They got 5. They have 45. 10*4=40, 9*5=45. They have added 5 cars to their fleet, ergo, more capacity. You're correct that they're temporarily reducing daily departures. How does that impact capacity? Let's find out. 16 trains per day * 4 cars per train = 64 cars per day each direction. 14 trains per day * 5 cars per train = 70 cars per day each direction. Translation: they're adding capacity. Thank you for playing. Also it's they're, not their 🙂.

This is incorrect. They recently received a new shipment of cars and they added a new car to each train. You are referring to an action they took earlier in the year briefly that has since been undone. They will keep the number of trains the same and eventually reach 7 cars per set by 2025. They built the network infrastructure to support up to 10 cars per train without needing any additional upgrades

Now that officials at Stuart, FL appear to back out of funding a station there (per Palm Beach Post) perhaps the good citizens of Cocoa Beach, FL may consider to submit an offer. If successful, any new station near Cocoa should be located SOUTH of the rail junction to Orlando airport to offer a transfer to Jacksonville, FL.
