Only the pure mechanical section is correct here for all makers and models. Theres lot of different operations and fork positions regarding car maker,model,year and software. At worst you make disaster.

Have a same gearbox on my 2019 Focus. Now got a problem with it.. First of all it does not go to PARK (error on dash "Transmission not in park"). Okay with that fault I can drive (yeap it starts up and shut down) when car is cold. After few km fun begins. Car starts jerking and making weird stuff and finaly when it got full warm then it stops running. What can be the problem? Do you have any ideas? I'll add all fault codes aswell. Codes: Memorized- P0751 Shift solenoid A performance/stuck off Memorized- P0771 Shift solenoid E performance/stuck off Active- P07E4 Unable to engage Park Memorized- P0868 Transmission Fluid Pressure low Memorized- P2700 Transmission Friction Element A Apply Time range or Performance Memorized- P2704 Transmission Friction Element E Apply Time range or performance Memorized- P27B3 Gear shift selection switch performance Now the car is at garage.. We are going to make fluid change and take a look hows the old oil look. If there is some chips/clitter in oil then there is something bad probably.. If old oil is clear then what I think is the solenoid valves are bad. So as you have worked on them then probably you know what can be the problem ;) Thank you so much! Regards, Reivo from Estonia!

My toyota bb 2006 done 120k reverses when engine is cold (first turnd on) after engine warm no reverse unless i press petrol little bit then will engage (can feel the gear engagement hard). Oil is good. How to fix this plz?

I need your help , i have volvo with DCT transmission and i live in iraq and we have no good volvo mechanics , the mechanic changed the transmission oil seal and the 9 plastic washers after installing everything the car drive and shift good but the reverse making strange noise sounds like something is loose . What do you suggest is the problem??

My daughter has a 2006 Toyota Matrix that we bought 3 years ago. Automatic transmission. So about 8 days ago ahe cant reverse. The check light engine comes on and so my husband's friend suggested transmission fluid. The fluid is low, so he puts in about half a bottle. The car then reverses, I take it to a mechanic who does simple car work and he gives it a tuneup and he doesn't notice any leaks, etc with the transmission. Well, last night 7 days layer she can't reverse again. We put more fluid in and it works! But I don't see a leak in the garage. Ugh not sure what to do! And please no comments about "well why can't your husband do it" 1. He's not a mechanic 2. He's working out of state. Im afraid to get scammed at the dealer, or by anyone =(
