It would be really cool if they offered these carbs like a DIY guitar kit; Comes with everything you need, but YOU have to assemble it.........The price would be way lower than it already is. I ordered a 44 for 68.00.......I spent more on gasoline yesterday.

To be fair; I would never expect a cloned product that costs hundreds less to be clean, assembled, or to even trust a 'set-up' from their factory. As with my clone carbs, the first thing I do is tear them down, inspect, clean, and then set them up. I learned after my empi carb to never trust that the factory cleans the circuits out, or adjusts the float level. There is a reason they are cheaper......just like clone guitars; The factory produces them, you gotta figure out the bugs and correct them, without paying out more than an original costs. Cloned items of any scope are a risky gamble. That's my opinion.......which is nothing but hot air 😀

I had this problem. It turned out that the Ethanol in the fuel was dissolving the old rubber fuel line . I changed all the rubber lines & the O rings to Ethanol friendly (modern) parts & this fixed this problem LIAM Edinburgh, Scotland

Four years ago you put this video out and it still helping people I just wanted to say thank you, the bearings on my brand new HPMX 44s are junk and I was getting air leakage through there. It was causing my motor to not idle down (2332) and I found out because I knew I had vacuum late and I took starting fluid and sprayed it all over and when I got to where it would cause a disruption in the idol, it was at the linkage so I pulled it apart and them bearings are junk. I hope spellcheck did not butcher this

A friend of mine bought a pair of these for a Formula Ford Super Italia Osella single-seater racecar and found them excellent value for money at £162.00 each, here in England. Formula Ford Super Italia ran a 2.0litre Pinto engine with twin down-draught Weber 40IDFs or their Solex equivalent, a limited modified cyl., and a specified camshaft. Aside from the normal fettling a carb. needs for race set-up, he didn't find too many horrors inside these Chinese clones.

FYI, these are probably just pre chambers from a production car that uses that technology. If you search "passive prechamber research paper" there is a good amount of information. Seems to be a much simpler way then going the plasma spark route

It is, and it isnt. The very first time this was attempted was back 1918 if memory serves, but was abandonned because at the time they were only able to make it work - fairly well - on fixed rpm stationary engines. The system was redeveloped by federal Mogul back in the 2000´s, but again, for fixed rpm CNG engines to improve burn and clean up emissions as well as increasing power output. Maserati has a similar system in their MC20 engines, but use twin spark technology to perfect it. This is redeveloped (and patented ) for conventional SI engines. It works on most engines, especially Hemi headed engines respond very well. Other engines are a little more reluctant to deliver and takes some tuning. for instance a Jaguar MKII 3,4 rated at 208 hp pulls 231 hp with the PJI´s and a hotter coil. A 2,7 Porsche 911 180 hp Euro spec with a MSD6 over the stock Bosch CDI, now pulls 201 hp. All this basicly on the same fuel. Minor rejetting may be needed and the ignition timing needs to be adapted. As a rule of thumb, 2 degrees more at idle, 2-4 degrees less at max (WOT) dependant on bore and chamber efficiency. In general we can say that the higher the compression ratio the better it works. Especially with high compression engines the fuel efficiency can be dialed in to get incredible results, like + 10% on cruise. BUT, it often takes a little tuning to get to that. Normally anywhere between 3 & 8% is considered easy obtainable.

When mine started doing this, a really swift pull on the outside handle gave that release mechanism on the bottom enough momentum to let go of the latch. Ultimately, the cable stretched/came out of adjustment just a tiny bit to not be able to draw that piece on the bottom completely out of the way.

Do you have any info on altering the idle air bleed hole?? I am fighting an issue where i have to run extremely rich jets to get my 44s on my 2110 to be drivable. 65/210/170! Any suggestions would be appreciated as im out of ideas.
