How have I only come across this song now?! This deserves so much more recognition.

I am sure this is no secret, but I recently discovered something about this song for myself while I was sitting in restaurant in Tokyo. I heard a track come on the sound system which sounded like it was in a very old school Japanese musical style. The musicians were using traditional Japanese stringed instruments called the Shamisen. It was so similar to this song that I thought it had to be a modern cover version. In reality, Panorama by the Yoshida Brothers, came out in 2006 and must have inspired this song! Now this feels like the cover version 😜

This song is very complex, and it needs to be explained in details for the following reasons: 1- The vocalist sounds more The Weekend than The Weekend himself 2- The Bass and Guitar is Pink Floydish, especially from 2:40 to 4:30 3- From 4:30 to the end of the song needs further studies due to the goosebumps that you get from it I am not sure if you guys calculated what is mentioned above, bur holy shit this is a master piece
