Nice video - but I have questions - is this automatic feeder from 2GR_323 suitable for goldfinches? Does it give them good nutrition equivalent to traditional feeders? The most important question is how far should the upper horizontal wire be away from the lower one? That is, what is the distance between the upper horizontal hooks and the lower recess on this product? Is there a way to hang it outside the cage? Also, you did not explain its internal structure and how it works? But thank you

Hi mate, great video. In 18:10 you have bigger feeders. Is it art.323? I bought this cages and this feeders and i don´t know how to connect its, because the doors are getting in the way. Thanks for response, Jan.

there are two methods: you push the door hard to bend it and when open allows room for the big feeders and when is closes looks funny but birds still can't escape or you remove the doors completely

Thank you for the video. I found these cages available in my country (Czechia) and am very tempted to get one as I wanna start with zebra finches. The video was extremely helpful. The cage is engineered really well, and for the price I couldn’t find a better one with these dimensions. I will get it in green color. I wanted only one pair of zebra finches but seeing the space on video I think about getting more birds lol.

Daniel, hi! For black spot I found useful using the medicine "Grog new" and NewColistop by BioVetLine. You have to start giving both parents a week before mating by mixing 3 grs in 150 gr egg food. Wish you luck!

My Bird laid eggs today! To make the hatching correct, replace the original egg with a dummy egg, is it enough to keep the original egg at room temperature or does it need a specific temperature?

that is a very unnatural and unhealthy behaviour at this time of year, make sure you don't give her too much light(just the sun) if do it you will strain her and perhaps kill her as she hopefully just finished moulting

I raise Fife canaries. I too have made several mistakes. I kept my lights on 14 hours each day for more than a year. I did not give them opportunity to rest using fewer hours of light (9 hours). So they never got into breeding condition properly. Some had chicks but did not raise them. So most chicks died from neglect. No more egg laying since February. And most birds were I think confused, molting often....I kept lights on because they seemed so happy. August I reduced lighting to 9 hours. I will stay this way until December. I hope the next 4 months is enough time to rest them? I would like to start 14 hours light again in December and go from there. Reducing lights again after I hope breeding success. Do you think 4 months less light is a good amount of time for birds rest? I would appreciate your input!

Hi I like your videos. I love canaries. I have heard for nesting material you can cut burlap up into one inch squares and pull it apart. But I heard that it is bad to give cotton for nesting materials because it will wrap around the toenails of the chicks and cut off their blood circulation. Is that true? Have you ever had that experience?

Ideally yes, but it happens rarely, young ones will start a bit early than the adults that are finishing breeding and adults finish later because they start later and take longer due the fact they also moult flight feathers. So best is to assume moult starts mid to late August until late November early December, depends on the birds, and in this time frame every should complete their moult.

I bought same eclissi feeder and same cage from 2gr, but in my case the feeder doesnt fit unless I remove the door. Am I doing something wrong?

Perhaps, but have you trying bending de door? Open the door while holding on to the cage and push on the bottom of the door(now up when fully opened) and force so it will bend upwards towards the cage, and you should be able to fit the feeder.

Daniel I have a few Gloster Canaries in which they seem to gather feces on their back end it dries up and then I have to use warm water to clean that area up or they would probably end up with and infection or etc. Is there i something I need to add to their diet or is there something I should not be feeding them?

HI thanks for the comment. Yes remove rape seed that is the main problem. Also after the moult you can trim their feather on their rears so there's less chance of feces getting stuck there. Also some type of grit containing Carbon might be beneficial.

Hi thank you for the comment. It can go bad if you do not turn them. Every day when I put a new egg in the tray I carefully rotate all the others so that the egg yolk doesn't stick to the shell too early. If you are concerned about this just leave them be and when the chicks hatch make sure the last one isn't suffocated by the others and gets enough food.

Daniel. I have a clutch with 2 clear eggs. 1.Do I take them out? 2. I saw my male riding the female.😂 Surprised their eggs are not fertile. I have another male. Would you advise I swap the males?

@@simonking9216 no leave them until the hen seems to not want to sit on them and start putting nest material on top of them. They are clear because your male might not be fit enough. I would advise to leave him for at least one more try before assuming that he is infertile. Males are hard to condition and they might look fit singing and treading the females but not enough breed properly and give his seed to the hen.

They are nice but the quality of the painting is bad . I have bought a one today and the price was 55 € here in France, and recording the that hight price at least the quality must be better than the Chinese ones whose costs 18 € !!! It's a big difference in price and a small difference in quality if you compare. Thanks for the video and I wish a good luck for everyone

Hi yes you are right about the paint, but I don't agree that the quality is only a bit above the chinese it's miles ahead: the wire is stronger in wont bend if you drop it, they are all the same size chinese ones are always a bit bigger or smaller than the other one and the fact that they can be made into flight cages is a big plus for some, same with paper system conversion. I agree that the price might be a bit much but compared to Italgabbie and other brands as such which cost up to 100E or more per cage this comes very close to them in quality and features for half the price.
