step 1: get insane cone rng step 2: spam smokes if you dont step 3: recraft more smokes step 4: repeat step 2 and 3 btw if he cones and you are in position with a charged sword, use sword sheath attack into doublslash into fast ZSD

You can bait out the cone with some practice. It looks like it's rng but it's 75% not. There's plenty of videos that explain how to cone bait. ZenCieh made one 3 years ago that I really recommend: it's the one i'm learning the fight from myself.

What does clutch claw deco do for Switch Axe? I thought it improves wound chance, which is already guaranteed for SA? And then the slinger ammo never drops anyway?

if you use the clutch claw boost it will guaranteed drop Dragon pod, we use it for make the monster flinch, u know... just in case moment

a tip to play vergil better 1. optimize dodging using O instead of the roll ( from my experience the O give me faster access to other movement ) 2. get yourself used to his teleport mechanism ( get to the practice arena and shoot just 1 sword to the enemy ), practice teleporting to and away from the enemy 3. like all dmc game, practice with the character main weapon 1st then u can go to the others, if u feel like u can make some badass combo with just 1 weapon, imagine what u can do with 2 or even more ( especially uncle dante ) 4. THE MOST IMPORTANT FOR VERGIL, PRACTICE JC ( the top level of this one is being able to jc from any movement when he sheathe the yamato ) the next one is specifically when fighting dante 1. when he walks slowly towards you, just assume he's in royal guard mode and just throws a taunt or practice dodging the royal counter ( royal counter have no range limitation IIRC ) 2. when he's charging using the cavaliere, counter it with mirage edge forward stab ( i dont remember the name, dante's stinger counterpart ) 3. when he's going shooting you using the bazooka laser, shoot 1 sword to him, teleport back as far as possible, the moment he shoot, teleport to him and use the sword rain, then u have enough time to charge beowulf uppercut. 4. dance with dante

By stopping spamming whatever button you are pressing to ZSD, to get the most out of a zsd and to stop early is to spam for 3 seconds then let go of the button
