I just got the vanquish 540 for Christmas, and the unit won’t turn on. I tried the batteries that came with it, unit won’t power on. I went out and bought new batteries, still won’t turn on. Is there something I’m doing wrong?

i had the 340 in the gold fields it was quiet as hell ,people with the nox 800 were having problems with the ground. (didnt know how to use the 800). ,cant wait till my 540 gets here ,was $64 and change on ebay. 👍👍👍👍

Worst example of a detectors performance I've ever seen. No depth measurements given, doesn't show actual setting of machine. By looking at the depth of the mound, that 60g nugget was barely 300mm in the ground, if that size doesn't scream at that distance, the machine and coil is garbage. I own one and know it performs better than this excuse of a demonstration and can confirm the 19" coil is a waste of space. Pick up your game Minelab your disgracing yourself.

If it’s big it will pick it up. If it’s rusted in the ground and you have a halo, it will pick it up. Use the detector and you will learn what each thing sounds like, and you will learn to discriminate with your ears

I got headphones, you have to buy the ml85, I think. Brilliant tho had no choice but to buy. I paid £120. They connect via Bluetooth, which to me is great, not getting tangled up lol. I hope that helps
