The problem was even in the books, JK lost her way with Ron. His jealousy of Harry was far too much for them truly be as close as Harry and Hermione. Make no mistake, Harry and Hermione had issues, yes she bored him to death at times, but they had something that neither had with Ron, trust. JK screwed up, Ron showed to many times, he ran when things got hard. Hermione never did and Harry always stayed and fought. They were the better friends, JK sorta 3rd wheeled Ron lol

unpopular opinion I hate when people demand two grown ass people almost 18 have to deny they love someone just because apparently have to pretend to be brothers. And I don't mean that family has to be w blood cause I'm the first sayinthat love creates a family not genes, but really you all believe that this is the same thing as if they were grown togheter since they were five? All the writers had to do to fix this was to divorce the parents. 1.) It would have shown support to the kids going through similar situations at the time. 2.) It would have separated casey and derek, which would've blocked the chemistry a bit. 3.) IF the writers wanted to go towards a romance, the step sibling bond would technically no longer apply. However, it's still a kids' show, though.. if anything, they could've ended the show with a strong nudge towards friendship bond. I think the writers at the end had to just cut the show, though, because all the viewers kept asking when casey and derek would get together 😂😂😂 #ForeverSadMad **Also side note: To anyone still wondering, no. They did not date IRL. The actor for Derek, Michael Seater, waves the flag for the same team 😎✨️🏳️🌈**

1:25 is from episode Middle Manic in season 2 The second bit is from Crushing the Coach also from season 2, in which Casey dates Lizzie's soccer coach. Turns out he' s cheating on her with multiple other girls. Derek finds out and carres so much that he cannot function anymore without telling her or doing something about it.
