Why sounds like sequential gearbox if it is automatic 8hp? Did you change the gears?

My guess is that the differential housing is mounted with solid or really hard bushings. So the whining transfers from the final drive to the body. Same as on my e46 M3

keep in mind guys, this isn’t the engine in every mazda3, ford fusion, etc. this one has a timing belt, some of our cars have the 2.5 fomoco with a timing belt and multi port injection, so some things may be a little different

awesome, im assuming its a turbo lamik controlling 8hp . we did gen1 dct with maxxecu on our e36 had good success . only downfall is adding the extra weight .

new to this and appreciating the mods, coming from a 924 CarreraGT, but I still think that this is not what a MX_5 NA is about, at 71yo I am just happy with my stock '92 NA convertible, but enjoying the mods on this remarquable successor to the 1.8 MG or 1.5 Spit.. it is like reviving my 20'ies at 71 yo, cheers to all..

it is 1.8 cause it has 28sthing for 160 1.6 is much slower 130 hp n/a about 25 hp losses so 105 whp turbo is 14 sec for 160 so about 210 whp +losses= 235 crank 235/130=1.807 bar manifold absolute pressure which is 0.8 bar boost

Hey, ich habe mir die gesamte Serie zum Motor angeschaut und wollte mal Fragen woher du die ganzen Drehmomentangaben alle her hast :) Hast du da evtl. eine Internetseite oder ein Dokument was du mir schicken könntest? Wäre super hilfreich für kommende Umbauten bei meinem Mx ;)

wir haben auch so einen allerdings in matt schwarz haben ihn von Grund auf erneuert und jetzt wird er bald angemeldet und von uns gefahren ich freue mich so Riessieg darauf🤩🤩

You shifted outtaa 4th gear too soon. Peak power is at 6500 rpm, you shouldve pushed it to at least 7k rpm
