Mostly the G-masters but they’d cost a fortune. The sigmas are similar optically but without stabilization

@ G-master not all are stabilized
@temitayoisme16 күн бұрын
@MartaGazzurelli true but that’s probably the option if you’re looking for something stabilized. Sigma doesn’t really have that, maybe Tamron but then I personally think it’s the farthest optically (Sony, sigma, Tamron). It’s a tricky one indeed

I wish there was a way to decrease the blue flare coating. I have the Anamorphot version, and the blue is very 'digital'

I believe that’s the biggest area of improvement for this lens. In post, you can soften the image but you can’t tweak the flares. I also wish they had a neutral version instead of Blue

I think your video wasn't finished yet... look at the final 20 sec of the video. Anyway I'm loving mine. Formfactor, image quality, and the thing keeps surprising me. USB C that is secured on the front for monitor connectivity without a battery. Also, while I have many vlock batteries and a nice holder, I love using much smaller BPU batteries. Just take 2 larger ones and you're set for a day. Charge the one you're not using to be safe. Tilta's cage is nice too and not too expensive. I got it with the Raptorhandle wich is a beast, didn't 100% fit tho. Anyway enjoy it!
@temitayoismeАй бұрын
Great point buddy, the form factor, image quality and user experience really makes it a very solid camera. The handle on ours is a mix of tilta and smallrig parts. Keep creating

The front USB-C is a 1080p wired output with 2 way OS control (Pyxis monitor only). The SDI/BNC signal out of the back of the camera, to record up to 4K on the VA in ProRes or BRAW. The USB-C on the back of the camera is up to 6K wired data output for SSD recording, and a wired output for "Cell Phone to Cloud 1080p Proxies or Streaming" (depends on 'phone) with free app and storage. Over-all, there is also a iPhone and Android Remote "Camera Control" app via Bluetooth - $17 (OS menu only, no visuals). The LAN is the fastest transfer method (no expensive CFexpressB Card Reader needed). Laptop, Network Scan, Browser, Copy and Paste. $5 CAT cable. LAN Cloud and Livestream too.

Bro. Sayin that this is a good middle step between DSLR (which were never made for shooting anything besides photos and are pretty archaic technology) and ARRI is like saying that Audi is a good middle step between Volkswagen and Ferrari. About the camera tho, rolling shutter is really horrible (for sure the biggest downside to that camera) and also the lowlight performance is pretty bad. Other than that it’s pretty decent. Especially if you work in black magic workflow.
@temitayoismeАй бұрын
Thanks 😊
@stevenvdstaak6682Ай бұрын
Rolling shutter can be corrected in Davinci Resolve. It uses the camera's inside gyroscope. Speaking of which, using the gyroscope stabilization is awesome. Be sure to check that out.

Be careful when making the pin permanently stuck. On some of my lenses I bought cheap broken. They’re broken because the spring was weakened out overtime due to someone modding it so it would always be wide open since the pin always would be pushed, meaning the spring would never go back to its default state. So check with your lens.

@ dude I’m so looking forward to your r3d fcp video tutorial! Mainly in the raw panel. I pretty much shoot at iso 800. When I want to brighten or darken shots should first move the iso setting or leave it at my native iso (800) and then mess with contrast, brightness and exposure? Hope that makes sense. Thanks 🙏🏻
