Billy Boy sure could blow that harp and sang great and wrote some good ones. In Cornwall UK, he has been a big influence!!

Bennie lived right down the street from my old friend Jimmy Lee Kennett. I remember all those guys from that era. Bennie met Gatemouth Brown once and he maintained that he being Bennie wrote Okie Dokey Stomp before Gatemouth played it. I remember Bennie playing it,

Jeg har alltid lurt på hva det er som gjør Junior 10 ganger bedre enn alle guitarister. Jo han har alt i spelle, ser ut som om han dikter opp nye noter under seansen, nesten som Ibsen og Bull.

I recognized the song on the second tune, I assume it was the B side. A quick search and I found it, I thought it was going to be one of his live recordings or videos, but it was a much later studio version that I have, 2006. kzbin.info/www/bejne/iXSbZnmPZtOIpaM

Elvis Presley covered Side A in his 1970 concept album “Elvis Country” - it’s feature bits of “ I was born about 10,000 years ago” between each song. It was later released on another album as a complete song. One or so of the verses were missing as it seemed to evolve as a jam session. Later the 78 rpm was later found to be in his collection..Fellow Mempian BB King did a great cover of “Cherry Red” around 1966-67.

LARRY DAVIS was another charismatic guittaaahh mini-legend from the same region, met him once in 88 @ the South Bay bf. His Pulsar lp had just come out.
