I'm looking into one. Bc due to rents and housing being so high. I'm now facing homelessness. I just hope my credit score will be ok. Bc I have nobody to co-sign. and if I don't get this.... when one is available. Then I'm homeless. But I am concerned with the winters bc at first, I can't tow it, I have a vehicle that can't tow that weight so I have to buy 2 things. A trailer and a used truck. Bc it's cheaper than a class c. If I could diy my own. I'd do that, but that's not happening. My husband is an electrician- you're more than welcomed to park on our land while it's ours! & if you need electrical done. He will do it. Lord knows I'll be making him do extra. I just have no use for the bunks really, so I figure it'll be a good place for a dog! And storing totes on the top one. But I can't find anything with the queen, and no bunks. I did see one, and never found it again. So this is what makes the most sense. I'm just concerned about the winter months. Is it warm enough?
@thehomeschoolcampers72045 күн бұрын
@@TarotWitch_Strega we'll pray for your situation ❤️, that's rough for sure. I'd suggest trying to find a used one first if you can't afford to pay right out from a third party, maybe you'll luck out at a dealership. As far as the winters it really depends on where you are. We're in TN and when we tested it out the heater held it's own, but I've heard way up north in the middle of winter is a different story for long-term use. The ones with the bunks are really easy to modify, so if your husband is handy he shouldn't have a problem removing the bottom bunk to make a good space for your dogs. Our first car wasn't supposed to tow it, but we managed for three months until we could buy a truck. We had a Kia Sorento and the weight exceeded just slightly. Good luck to you all!

Other than adding a TV and the USB ports (there is a video of the ports), we've kept it the same. I'd like to remove the dining table and replace it with a couch or futon and some TV trays though.

Oh my, those STABLIZER jacks in the back are not for leveling. The STABILZER jacks are the last thing. All they are for is so it doesnt rock back/forth when walking around. When you back in, get it level side x side. Meaning something under the tires. Dont un hitch. Once that is good unhitch and level with toungue jack up/down. Once level put those stabilizer jacks down. If you use them for leveling the bolt/screw thing will bend then you wont be able to get up or down. They are cheap and bend easy

Question!! Just bought 2023 camper 17b Have you had any issues with the ac unit leaking inside??
@thehomeschoolcampers7204 Жыл бұрын
We did in the beginning. We'd leave and come back to a wet matress... we just used the stabilizing Jacks to tilt the camper slightly so the condensation would drain as it should. I'm sure you could probably tile the AC unit itself, but it worked for us!
@ericj8107 ай бұрын
Common issue. Some do it, some don't. The fix? Carefully remove the ac, then check the pan make sure its installed correctly under ac. Then apply small amount of rv sealant to front corners of pan. Then take ac while its out. CAREFULLY drill 2 small holes in rear of ac bottom for extra drainage. Use puddy knife to shield coil from drill bit. After that reinstall ac. Once this is done no more leaks from ac. Even if camper is tilted on door side a lil it still wont leak inside.

I missed the hot line on top of the water heater. It also needs turned towards the water heater. The camera sees it but I didn't.
@jaredrodriguez9796 Жыл бұрын
You don’t use your jacks to level the camper those are just to stabilize the camper you level by the camper by using blocks under the wheels and always level side to side and then front to back
