Great Challenge Zach. Story telling is lost in the western church culture in deference to multipoint sermons in chart format which does not re-present the Gospel well. Meanwhile, darkness uses story very effectively at all levels.

I definitely don't think it's intentional, but rather a byproduct of this post-enlightenment period where everything in the West has to be rooted in logic and reason. We're missing out on an opportunity to carry truth to a lost world because we've lost the art of storytelling.

Absolutely. The Church is broken because it's full of broken people in need of a savior. It's what makes Christ's love for His bride and His work on the cross so incredible. Knowing our brokenness, sin, and rebellion against Him, He still went to the cross and paid the ultimate price. God's people (the Church) will be imperfect until His return, but that doesn't mean God's people don't care, we're just all in process.
