I was in a school book club and they read this to us in 5th grade. At the end, he told us the actual historical events it was referring to. I was horrified and curious at the same time.

I had to read this for school in 8th grade. We all hated it cuz of the analysis. But I have to admit that the whole book was real deep, in such a weird way. And best part is that it can apply to any time period

Seriously! The last line from this book hit just as hard as every other part of the book. Will always remember the ending and the thought it provoked. 1984 was an amazing counterpart.
