My 4th GGrest Grandparenrs were from Monaghan and Cavan from the Dpeeingtona and McCaetneys. 1827 will be 200 years in 2027(3 years ine future).

I'm seventh generation Australian and I just discovered that my Irish ancestors were from Monaghan. Thomas Waddell was premier of NSW for a mere 75 days, shortest tenure in our history! He was born in Monaghan.

Looks great Mark. Interesting to see that Monaghan Tourism has borrowed from Mad About Monaghan and our very novel and successful way of promoting crafts and general tourism into Monaghan since March 2021. And even better to see how everyone is reaping the rewards. Monaghan is truly benefitting from huge surge in holiday vacation tourism into Monaghan. Long may it continue. I support any and all incentives to boost tourism and grow exposure of the Hidden Gems of Monaghan to everyone home and abroad.

All the beer I have tried here is wonderful, especially love the Shanco Dubh porter.....Yummmmm The Killany Red is wonderful. The tour was so wonderful. Authentic and Seamus is lovely and has the gift of storytelling. Can't wait to return to Ireland to visit Brehon Brewhouse again.

I'm from monaghan and carrickmacross lace was setup by a lovely lady Mrs Porter from my own parish of Donaghmoyne her husband was a rev Porter, Mr & Mrs Porter was on honeymoon. In French then Mrs Porter took home some laces to teach the young ladies at that time
