Not a bad shot Ian. At least it was working, ok not a lot of effort. Given the heat and the fact the train was nealy 30 mins late, I'm not surprised the diesel was giving a shove. It surprised me that the let the Arcow quarry train run ahead of it.

Thanks. Only just got it and it takes a bit of getting used to. First time I've used it 'in company' (apart from standing next to Stephen Brass at Bay Horse), so conscious of keeping it well away from other people's mics and out of shot.

Like I said on Saturday, it was peeing down all the way to Settle so I decided to leave my camera in the bag and went for a brew in the cafe. Couldn't believe it when we came out and it had stopped. Dragged the gear out of my car and quickly set up. Only just got the camera on the tripod🤣

Same here. Must be 20 year+. Used to climb over the fence into the field. Either the fence is higher or my legs are shorter but couldnt manage it. Went over the bridge from Aldcliffe Road. Tripod over the fence. I stood on the path 🤣

Last time I filmed there was about 20 years ago. 5407 on an evening departure. Got home and found I had left my microphone on the ground. Had to go back following day to retrieve it. Luckily it was still there.

@bodorganboys lucky ! bloody hell that reminds me. Must be going on 30 years ago I filmed from the trackside roughly half way between Rise Hill tunnel and garsdale. Was like conquering Everest to climb up there from the road below. Got home and remembered leaving a cable up there. Went back the next day to retrieve it. Wouldn't bother now ! 😕
