It's rough down there... but the ones that are flooded are incomparable... totally unlivable. At least with wind damage they have a chance, but the flooded ones all need to be torn down.

@@orion3706 It just depends on what type of flooding you have. If it's storm surge, probably not, but localized flooding will bring out snakes and gators.

Yes, lots of carports. Thankfully most have separate roofs, otherwise you risk the roofs ripping off with the carport. I have a long video with the full tour, and I discuss using these tragedies to reexamine weak points in these homes. The big 2 are carports and metal roofs. With metal roofs, you have to inspect the bolts and replace and seal them. If not, they will peel up like a tin can.

Yes, this one-two punch of hurricanes has been very sad. I had owners with 4' of water in their homes for Helene, and then extreme wind damage Milton.

These are just the worst damaged ones. Most in these communities actually had NO damage!

There were no animals or gators out, and power was completely out. Our power lines are underground. So not dangerous at all here, thank goodness. In communities with above ground power, or serious structural damage, it has definitely been an issue.

Yeah, not happening. Comments like this cause people to freak out, panic, and die. We are not in an evacuation zone, in fact we are about 50' up where we are. So no, that's not a thing.

We are in a block home, and not in an evacuation zone. We will be fine. The people who are under evacuation orders are the ones lying to themselves about safety. It's very concerning. The biggest issue is going to be the storm surge, and we don't have to worry about that where I am. I am sharing these videos for my owners who ARE in susceptible homes, most of which have evacuated, and are curious to how the storm went.
