Honestly, Failure Frame didn't really do anything to stand out to me, it felt kind of generic. It's a very typical isekai with a fairly standard plot. That combined with the absolute shock to the eyes of switching between a really beautifully done traditional 2D animation to that really janky, unpolished, and overall clunky 3D CGI just killed any chance I had at being able to enjoy it. I understand that they probably used the 3D CGI to lower costs so they could have those really beautiful scenes, but IMO the bad CGI took way too much away from the 2D animated scenes.

Please pick up the pacing of your story telling. Video feels like the first take without knowing what you planned on saying. Thank you for the anime recommendation ❤

Failure Frame is decent enough but what drags it down sometimes is the switch between normal animation and CGI

Not gonna lie, it's not the worst anime but this is an isekai slop. The characters are nothing new, the stories are nothing new, but at least the MC power gimmick is a bit different and the two perspective story-telling is interesting. This visuals are not bad, not good, just so-so but the cg is off-putting tbh and the cliffhanger ending really ticks me off. I binged he whole thing in one sitting while turning of my brain lol

He might not have too much direct defense but ain't nobody ever goña be able to get to him. His slime watches his blindside for him so sneak attacks are out the question and his status effects is 100% hit rate so it's guaranteed to land if he targets you

he is basically like a control deck vs powerhouse deck in Yu Gi Oh. He just has to control and enemies fall 1 by 1

I will say you are 100% right, he's got no defense. Without Seras he would have died at some point in his journey. One thing I like about this isekai story is how the companion he picks up in the other world is pretty essential to the survival of the MC. There's few people in the Failure Frame world that could body Seras in one hit let alone beat her in a straight up fight. Other isekai characters pick up allies that are helpful in the new worlds but I am struggling to think of a new world partner that is so absolutely critical to the isekai'd characters survival. I stumbled into the light novels well before the anime was announced. My first "revenge-sekai", there's something to be said for having a main character out for revenge we don't see much these days from protagonists. For people who like this series (and reads light novels cause there is no anime for this yet) The Hero Laughs While Walking the Path of Vengeance a Second Time does absolutely ridiculous over the top revenge motivation even better. The plots and schemes are great too.

They have 0 personality, OP powers while being total pussy, and somehow every woman falls for them (even thou they are overreacting to a mere sight of their shoulders). And don't even get me started on how dense they are. I mean i am not a womanizer but i am not so stupid to don't catch a hint of 5 womans at once. 6:26 . the only thing I am tired is when its written bad like harem. some annoying voiced girl constantly trying to follow around. lolies . if the character is OP but the anime has good story and politics with no lolies. i cannot watch enough. because i grew up watching the shonen animes that the good guy has to constantly train and get stronger. and as soon as he beats a villain another one shows even more stronger. now he has to go on another training arch. that is why i switched the trash genre or isekai and OP animes

really liked this anime. it was good when he killed civit. was not expecting that, though he wanted it first. but after the talk i thought it will be like mihawk and zoro.

OP characters are fun if there's a believable in-universe reason for it. But like you said, there still has to be limits

as a novel reader i can say its honestly too early to call it an outright turning point, but you are on the right path. id call arc 5 an introduction to/setup of the turning point of re:zero, and i would also say that arc 5 and onward is where the "real" story of re:zero begins to unfold. to me, arcs 1-4 are simply introductions and setup to introduce characters and build them up for whats to come.

Failure Frame & big 3, is not something I ever thought I would see in my life. Especially with Re Zero season 3 starting 😂

There's only one "big x", no matter the genre, and the big "three" didn't showed up yet. Slime, snk, frieren, oshi no ko, cyberpunk, arcane, mushoku tensei, vinland saga, love is war, are good contenders. There are two problems predicting next "big x". First is that next big x will have way less influence. There's ton of anime and everyone heard about at least one. There will never be again such an influencial anime as original big three. Second is that we are trying to predict the future. And that's basically a shrodinger's cat. As far only two broke the influence to cal them big. In which one broke the alchemist wall on mal score. Frieren and snk. Vinland saga is pretty close, it almost broke the internet by phrase "I have no enemies". So that's my predictions of "big three".

If it did lead to a cliffhanger then maybe you guys will see at what happens in season two when it’s made.

I just finished the first season and the ending Sucked. Alya doesn't give the vibe of main character. Her sisters character is more interesting than hers. So far my favorite character is his sister. At least she is funny.

The best way to describe it is mushoku tensei is about Rudy's life. There is no goal of the story, but Rudy has goals at different points in his life. Now that Rudy has a family his main goal is taking care of them and that will remain the case.

I hear you, but the main driving force has only been hinted at in the anime and the transition into it will be smooth enough if you payed attention. And even if you didn't really, you'll see it in hindsight if you watch everything again after the story has fully finished

Well Mushoku light novel has 26 volumes and season 2 ended on volume 12. There is more then half story to be told and when it feels like it will be slice of life forever, there is turning point (like 1 and 3). So yeah, I hope for good animation and direction, if they do it right, they could create something amazing.
