Nice (and sad!). I see it as a guy who has had a "love" for a woman he knew only briefly years ago, and he's fostered that love for an idealized version of her that exists only in his head, actively hoping that fate will bring them together again. The years pass until one day they encounter each other on the street, and he's openly effusive for the imagined love of his life. She barely remembers this dude, but rather than hurt his feelings, departs quickly with a dismissive "nice to see you again!" sort of comment. She walks away without thinking of him again, whereas seeing his "true love" again after so many years only inflames his feelings and feeds into his delusion that something could come of this, but it never ever will. I fell in love with this song recently in my journey to learn bass guitar, and after listening to it over and over, I realized that it's very much describing ME, the eternal fool full of affection and hope for things that never happened and which could never happen. I see it then as a song about 'saudade.'

@@johngrunwell6101 for me, the song it's about a guy who knew a girl just by looks, they haven't even talked to each other and one day late night at a chill beach party he sees her and goes to talk to her and she just hsppens to smile by coincidence, but he takes it as an opportunity to make His shot And gets rejected. But then later on years forward, they're together somehow, but the girl did him bad, so they're arguing un public and he doesn't want to listen to her cause he doesn't want people to notice, so she walks away Then at the end it makes seem like that love could return
