access to the top bolt is impossible due to a very cramped space, but I planned (and will do it) to bore a hole in the wall directly located in a place where it is possible and big enough to put a ratchet extension with a 14mm socket just to remove the upper bolt.

This video is not correct. The port indicated in the video is not the OBD2 port but something else. The actual port is on the left-hand side of the steering wheel, pointing downward. It is covered with a plastic clip with "DATA LINK CONNECTOR" written on it. You need to pull that cover down to see the port. There is a small clip holding it in place. This can be done while sitting in the driver's seat.

I don't care this was 5 yrs ago, it's 2024 and I drive a 2009 V6 Hi Lux, it's the exact same set up as your Fortuner. My mechanic has been ripping me off and I've found that I can service my car quite easily now.. Thanks to this video, I now know where the fuel filter is, yours is Literally the only vid on YT to show this. I'll make a video of mine when I change the filter next weekend. Thank you so much for the upload, I was going nuts trying to find this filter!! lol. 10/10.
