Cray-gur- not Cray-gar! (Driving me crazy!) I owned a 70 Dodge Dart Swinger 340 right out of high school- same gauge panel as the orange Duster. The Duster was a version of the Valiant- the Valiant was exactly the same as the Dart except they didn't put the 340 in it. 340 Darts, Dusters, Dodge Demons (the Dodge version of the Duster) all drove the guys with Road Runners and Cudas and Challengers and Malibus and GTO's crazy because the 340 Dart-Duster-Demons blew them off the road. Camaros and Mustangs too unless it was a 428 Mustang or a SS396 Camaro. The 340 motor wound up like crazy with high end power and the Dart-Duster-Demon body cars were light- fun at the stop lights!

You are right. I was familiar with the 340 Demon so...you see a similar Duster and ALL i think is Dodge Dart 340 Demon. Btw the Dodge graphics were better than the Plymouth graphics

@@broncomcbane6382 your talking to the wrong guy I was a Plymouth man all the way, other than the Charger Plymouth would come up with the cars then Chrysler would give the idea to Dodge, ex, RoadRunner budget GTX, to the Super Bee, Cuda to the Challenger, Duster to the Demon always a Plymouth man, learned how to drive in a brand-new girlfriends 70 Duster, Dodge was Chryslers next step up to the Chrysler than up to the Imperial they were also more of the truck, van line

@@thomasdearment3214 ok let me break it down. I love all Plymouth Furys especially 1969-1972...dont like the 73. It didnt follow any preceding design theme. 73 Fury...pause. I dont think the quad headlamp 74 was as attractive as the single lamp 75-77. The R body didnt have enough time to take off but it was essentially a 1981 Newport. The 1982-88 were value leaders for a cheap buyer. The 1975-78 B bodies were fantastic to me especially if you got the wagon with woody siding.

@@thomasdearment3214 other than that I like the Chrysler brand the best at the entire company. The 300 and NYer are my favorite almost any year pre-1981. Now for the 73 Fury I dont know but I think it was meant to be a 72 Imperial or New Yorker because of the similarities in the taillamps. Poor sales meant the Imperial was carried over for 3 yrs from 71,72 & 73 with mild changes. Every fuselage model was carried over for a year. The 70 and 71 Fury, the 71 and 72 Monaco, the I think the 69 and 70 Newport/New Yorker. Awesome cars. The previous slabs were 65-68. And the 62-64s werent bad for Dodge and Chrysler

1971 all Plymouth had the interesting style grill works my 71 Barracuda was a base 318 modal, looked like it was going 90 just backing out of the driveway all the time

In Canada, the top of the line cars was called a Parisienne, on a Chevy platform with Chevy drivetrains and wasn't a Catalina or Bonneville.

Close but no cigar. The 4V stands for four venturi or four barrel. And the original movie car had a 428 CJ engine, not the 429. BIG difference!

I met the guy again last weekend, he is Brazilian from Rio de Janiero State, he had it imported here from there. There are alot of well to do Portuguese speaking folks in North Jersey so you see things like this every so often.

@@broncomcbane6382 yep, special package with existing parts, except the cool grille. IMO the sail panel or buttress is kind of awkward looking. If I had the means i'd like to build a custom fastback "Darger", think 65-67 Charger fastback Dart. Had a '67 GT family car that became my first car that I sold in '84. Found it again on the internet but it's now in Germany! It's got me wanting one again, but money is really tight.

@@chrisharper2326 awkward lookimg becauze A bodies were light and slender. B bodies were coke bottle shaped. Those buttress panels extend the roof line past the crease in the trunk lid not before. The grille is the piece de la resistence. The amber turn signal is cheap just a heavy dutu truck clearance lamp. But it has enough punch to look superb. You know IF this came to the US this would kill on the smaller Dart coupe body post-1971. I would have cheapened the 1974 style 2 pod taillamps like.Ford.did for the Mercury Cyclone(Which I also recorded at this very same show). Then stock 360 V8.
