I've had to tell people, _"No, I'm not a jockey just because I ride a horse."_ (I'm 6'4", and weigh 250 lbs!) Definitely NOT a Jockey!!! I've spent a couple hundred hours of my life explaining what a "pony" is... ... immediately followed by explaining "hands high" being used to measure a horse's height... ... immediately followed by explaining "withers" is NOT "withered"! 🤦🙄 Sometimes, I'm exhausted by the time I finish explaining everything.😞

Please help me! I have a herd of two mares and an aggressive gelding but the rank is mare, gelding, mare. However, I cannot take out the middle ranking - aka gelding - to be with the new gelding as HE is the aggressive one toward the gelding. He hates geldings!! And, I've noticed that the new gelding is also very aggressive. He's shown much aggression in some temporary situations with both mares! Please help me as I think both these geldings are going to be exceptionally challenging to each other, and the new gelding to both mares.

My oldest has decided to retire right now (!) at 20 years old 😣😖😩😫😭 She's a Dessert Mountain Mustang & my trail riding horse. I put my 15 year old daughter (slight little thing that she is) on her for a ride & she went into a bucking fit twice, the last one resulting in a busted elbow! She'd never done that before to anyone & I'm a heck of a lot heavier! I'm just not ready to retire her... She's my best buddy... but she's got to be hurting in the joints or she never would have done that. I'm going to miss riding her down the wooded trails so badly 😕

I have a horse who always gets thrush in one of her front hooves. I treat and I kill and I treat again. My question is about the exfoliating sole. Where you pointed in your video, my horse gets little rocks stuck and when I pull them out during hoof cleaning, there is always a divit of chalky sole. It scares me because it's not solid in these spots. So, is this normal? I also need to see if it is normal to see the central sulcus of the frog through the Central frog groove. Yes, I know it should not extend passed the heel bulb and it does not but, is it ok otherwise? I have been cleaning all hooves with chlorhexidine amd treating with thrush buster and it killed the thrush..but, one week later and now I have stinky white chalk like thrush in one tiny spot next to the frog again!!!!!! In summary, is the indentations in the sole near the wall ok naturally as it lets chalky sole out when ricks get stuck and lastly, is there a suggestion you can offer me to officially rid this poor hoof of these issues?

If I ever have my own barn, I will give every single item in the tack room a five-digit number. The first digit indicates where it goes on the horse (starting with 1 for the head and working backwards), the second indicates the type, the third the model and the final 2 digits denote the individual unit.

My understanding is to keep the product OFF of the frog. I wish there was a product that could be used on the entire hoof. Bottom of hoof and frog And outside of the hoof wall.

It's funny my honozygous boy that has no paint DNA, got a few of those white spots, and her half Arabian and have old so I looked bakc on the Oldenburg sire and he had birdcatcher in him, lol.
