No need to put diesel on the new fuel filter. Just open slightly the prime valve screw and then pump until fuel comes out from the prime screw. Major safety issue, never go under any vehicle just having the floor jack always place a jack stand for safety.. The floor jack hydraulic can release and the vehicle drops on you.

I really don't mind the LCT engines, but they need to be babied a bit or they'll throw a rod. You can't put the boots to them like an old Tecumseh. They do throw good though.

Damn the mfr’s. For not using stainless steel for these lines, I have had to change many - the nicopp kits are nice, it is easy to bend If you buy the GM genuine hoses, they all come with those brackets that are so tough to get apart, the line kits that I have used have been pretty much identical to the factory shape, you need to get the correct part number for the model. Inline tube is where I usually get them, this time I got a nicopp kit and it is soft so the precut and flared lengths are all in a coil and you straighten them out and form them as required. The abs really does add a whole new level of difficulty as well as many more places to leak
@detailisretail6 ай бұрын
I've done many myself. Yes on my 1993 I just buy roll of nicopp line and just make myself. But they aren't strong. I had just did my rear line and had the truck in for exhaust work. They dropped the tailpipe on the line totally collapsed it. And yes it was in it stock spot on the axle and in the brackets. Then of course you bring to back the shop, they didn't do it. Some how God did it. With how important brake lines are it should be mandatory to be stainless and fuel lines. You pay a lot money for the truck.

I replaced a water pump, crankshaft sensor, alternator. All A/C Delco, all from rock. Every part failed within 4 years of installation. The crankshaft sensor left me stranded 2 miles from home. The water pump died the day before I had to have medical tests. And the alternator sounded like a blender. I don't mind paying more for name brand parts. I do mind when those parts fail shortly after I install them.

Yes, I'm taking a chance with my fix. But I'm going to roll the dice. When I change the radiator last. I ended up buy new hose and springs. Which are getting very had to find. Or if they sell them their incorrect o- dia. Example oil cooler filter relocater. I believe I did video on that nightmare. I've never over heated my truck. I use 180 thermostat, heat is the only way I could over pressure the system. This 1993 350 there isn't all kinds fancy crap on it.(you have thermostat, radiator cap or water pump). And if was over pressuring would blow the heater core.

The only you could over pressure is get it very hot. You pop the heater core or blow the tanks off the side. My truck never got that hot. I have 180 degree thermostat in it.
@detailisretail7 ай бұрын
Now with my fix there might be a chance because I can't see for sure my inter tube gasket is not in the spring. When put it on. I did pick my lowest pressure cap to use. I'm yes taking a chance now. If I changed it out, what going to be wrong with the next radiator. That's huge mess plus not much fun.
