I have a leiomyosarcoma in my left ankle. For months I thought it was just a slight swelling from gardening and just being active. After a bit of pain would hit me to the point I had to just stop walking until the pain subsided which would only be a few seconds ,I would go about my business. But it continued, so I went to an orthopedic Dr. After an X- ray he wanted an MRI. Went back for results wanted another MRI with contrast went back for results. This time he told me it wasn't what they had expected to see that every Orthopedic Dr in the building took a look at the images. I was recommended to an Orthopedic Oncologist Surgeon. There aren't many across the U.S. Mine is over 100 miles away. A two hundred miles plus round trip. I took my Imaged that were given me from the hospital I had them at. Then I had a biopsy in her location for she is associated with the University hospital. Then I had a MRI of chest and pelvic area. Then went back for total body scan. As of right now nothing more is showing up. All tests results were sent to an Oncologist closer to home. I went to see him. Then set up an appointment to see radiology for radiation therapy. That's next week then I got to make another trip back to Augusta to see a plastic surgeon. I refuse to have my ankle removed at NY age. But the tumor is a 3cm. so getting a clear margin is possible. I will need a graft over that area. Being on the ankle means little moving of that foot so it can take and heal. My surgeon would rather do the amputation, but healing sn infection are the same risks. No talk of chemo right now. They will do periodic scans to catch it early if it spreads. Maybe taking the new drugs as a precaution but they only use chemo or drugs if it shows up somewhere else. I have no lymp nodes involved in my leg,the Oncologist said that was great news. Trying to get things done while I have the time and feel like it. I love flowers and gardening. I have been working on that for three weeks straight. Clean up. An adding more. It's good therapy. Weather in Georgia is Spring on a lot of days, but have dipped a couple of times at night. Won't be seed planting until first of April. But now is a good time to add trees shrubs, roses, etc. to your landscape. I'm staying positive. An there's a quote I can relate to,so should everyone: One who plants a tree knowing they may never sit beneath its shade, understands the meaning of life. After this surgery an everything is done and said. That's it for me. If it comes back, I'm not spending anymore of my time in hospitals, doing tests, chemo that will make me deathly sick. I will go about my business live life until it's my time. This cancer that starts in the ankle is a little different from that in the uterus but will spread. I'm a senior, i have lived a full life, an I know there's great hospice care. I'm sure I'll know when thar times come. Hopefully that won't happen for some time. I feel good for my age,I still can work hard for hours outside an I take care of my disabled husband. I cook an I keep a clean home. But I did do some clearing out of things i don't wear, and just random things I took to a Goodwill. Won't be much in my room to clear out when the time comes someday. Trying to make things easier on my daughters. Everything will be arranged. I have talked to them,i want them to continue with their daily lives. To enjoy every day. Make memories that they all can remember it helps mark time. Find that time. Don't let work and unnecessary things get in the way. And don't worry about nothing, for it doesn't help any situation. Be concerned but don't stress about things especially if you can't control the situation. Life lessons. Now go plant a tree! I suggest a flowering crabapple. The year round interest brings beauty.

You're one of the lucky patients who made it through this disease. At first, the chemo was working very well for my husband, and like you, at the end of many rounds of chemo the myeloma cells were almost undetectable in his blood. After the stem cell transplant, everything went down from there. He passed away in 2017 after trying the newest chemo drug for multiple myeloma out there. He was asked if he would try a bone marrow transplant, but after going through the treatments he went through, there was no way he would do it again. By that time, his bone marrow was completely destroyed, and there was nothing that could be done for him.

I lost my father to this 12 years ago. We had great insurance, but all the insurance in the world couldn't save him. LMS took him from us in 26 months. He had 14 surgeries during that time to remove tumors. When you add up all the treatments and surgeries and radiation and chemo, it maybe bought us a few months....but his last year was hell for him. He was in the hospital more than out, he was sick more than he was well....sometimes I wonder if fighting it at that point was the right call because he had no quality of life his last year.

look up joe tippens; he beat stage 4 cancer with a very unusual cheap product; i wd use that plus a salt lamp; my hubby was quite sick last spring, when i put salt into his hot mist inhalant, he quickly dramatically got better. people soak in salt water and go to the seaside to get better, for years, also salt was used to preserve food for years, and is a known germ killer. look up the comments on any salt lamp benefit topic on yt, fascinating. and of course, avoid smoking, alcohol, sugar, pop, red meat, coffee, they are very destructive to the body, being strong acids.

This video makes no sense. She continued to get mammograms after bilateral mastectomies? Breast cancer was found in the same breast after mastectomy? Unless it was found on high tech imaging, I’d love to see that mammography machine because it’s performing miracles.

When a person experiencing health problems why don't they go to God he's the healer of all things but instead she sitting down crocheting where's your Bible at why you're not praying,👉 why you're not reading your Bible, why you're not worshiping the God that saves your life 🤔 I don't get people and their mindset I will be down on my knees every day thanking God for saving me a lot of people forget about God even in the midst of their troubles and pain they still don't acknowledge God how can that be

My sister was just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer after treatment of a uterine sarcoma. We all hoping for the best I am also preparing mentally for the worst. I hope new clinical trials and immunotherapy can slow down the cells and disease to give her a few quality years. prays and fingers crossed. Being cancer ill and thinking of your mortality is beyond mentally strenuous. Being positive is also the key. This lady on the video is an inspiration.

My husband was diagnosed 3 years ago. He has now been receiving Chemo for 2 years, with NO QUALITY of life ! VERY MUCH PAIN. Every day is different. All his Doctor keeps saying is they are trying to give hm Quality of LIFE ! But when you have NONE, how long should you keep putting the TOXIC CHEMO onto your body WITH NO RESULTS . His wish now....to fall asleep and never wake up. He is now 67 years old. His children are coming to visit, one he has not scene in 5 years, because they don’t live in the same Country as us. My PRAYER for him, is he sees the children & grandchildren, then can pass.

You need a good pain management nurse. I was a hospice nurse many years ago, we had full range to get whatever the patient needed to have a good quality of life. Sounds like your husband could benefit more going under hospice care. But all in all much in modern medicine has changed alot, sorry to say most not for the better.
