Saddest part of LOTR that most people miss is when Frodo stands up at the council of Elrond and says, "I will take the Ring, though I do not know the way." The look in Gandalf's eyes tells us everything about what a heartbreaking sacrifice this is (and what a great actor Sir Ian McKellan is that he can convey so much emotion with a simple look). Frodo has already carried the Ring, so he knows what a massive burden this is, but he volunteers anyway. The most heart-breaking scene in any movie, though, has to be in Hachiko when we see Hachiko after an off-screen fight with other dogs, and his harness is torn. That whole movie is utterly gut-wrenching and based on the true story of a dog who waited at the train station for his master every day for fifteen years after his master's death. His master died at work and never came home. Despite only knowing him for 2 years, Hachiko waited for him FOR FIFTEEN YEARS!!! The end of the movie is also gut-wrenchingly sad. They play happy music and try to show Hachiko's death as him finally re-uniting with his master, but the truth is that he died alone in the snow, unloved and uncared for for 15 years.

I live near an air base and get to see f 22s, f 35s, and a 10s flying over all the time. It's great.

I live under some sort of flight path in East Texas. I get Apache choppers, dual rotors, fighters, c130s etc etc all the time. I swear some of them are the B52s, probably not tho. East Texas Regional Airport GGG has a HUGE airstrip, the shuttle carrying plane, shuttle attached has landed there, Air Force One etc. The planes out of Barksdale inm Shreveport spend days at a time doing touch and gos back and forth, Barksdale to Longview, over and over. (only on SOME select days) according to wiki East Texas Regional Airport covers 1,300 acres (530 ha; 5.3 km2) at an elevation of 365 ft (111 m). It has two asphalt runways: 13/31 is 10,000 by 150 ft 18/36 is 6,110 by 150 ft In the year ending April 30, 2023, the airport had 85,989 aircraft operations, average 235 per day: 74% general aviation, 10% military, 15% air taxi, and <1% airline. so 23 military flights as an average per day. You can sit out here in the side yard and see them stacked up at night, various types of flights, blinking.

Saw a demonstration for the F35 just outside of Paris, France and they played Kickstart my Heart as it was taking off. With the roar of the jet engines it was one of the most american things I've ever seen.
