These “Hug a Sloth” tourist attractions are cruel because they go out into the rainforest and kidnap Sloths from the wild and imprison them in these inhumane centers for life to be used as a photo prop for tourists. Sometimes they shoot and kill the mother and take the baby for the attraction. Paying to hug Sloths fuels the illegal wildlife trade. It also damages wild Sloth populations.

I've never met a real 🦥 sloth. I've only ever loved them from afar. It's the cute little faces and deep brown pools for eyes.

You know what's even cooler? Not supporting tourist traps who traffic poached wild animals and instead leaving those animals in their natural habitat. And before you type it...that whole line about them being rescued or pets sent to sanctuary is a blatant lie. That sloth is dead now from stress and fear

They kidnap Sloths from the rainforest to enslave them in a cage for life and use them as photo props for tourists, which makes illegal wildlife traffickers rich. It’s hard to not hug Sloths because they’re so cute, but these attractions are bad for Sloths.
