Do I continue to hold my 2 month old baby love bird even though it's obvious he doesn't want it? I was advised to hold him for 10 minutes a day, but very since I started doing that he seems more stressed. Please help!

Hey man I've been watching your parrot and lovebird awesomeness for like 3 months (not really much but the videos I needed) first I wanna say thanks for the videos man I really appreciate it for you to care about people's parrots and guiding people. And if I didn't see your videos, I've probably would have kill a cockatiel because I've always wanted to purchase a parrot but I didn't know that taking care of cockatiel is hard. So I purchased lovebird but I have some questions that I've been worried about. 1.So my lovebird is making some type of evil laught without sound (like he's gonna throw up) 2.my lovebird is making helicopter noises (like he was really cold or something) 3.how can I stop my lovebird from biting me (English is my second language so I'm not really good at it)

My aunts nursing facility has a couple of small birds I’m told are SA love birds. I built a couple of small wooden ladders (4”x 36”) to make it easier for the birds to move up and down the cage. Unfortunately the male has shedded both of them making them useless. Would any of you bird owners have any objection to using fiberglass stakes (the kind used for driveway markers) for a ladder or would the possibility of the bird eating the fiberglass be a bigger concern?

I have two pairs of lovebirds. They like to produce short, various sounds. It's like they're talking to each other. I don't know what it's indicate, they're just stood without any noticable behavior. But one think i could understand that they're not singing like in the video. No idea since it's my first time

i have lovebird for 4 days now.. still afraid of my hand.. but always chirp and when i come over.. it stop.. i always check its cage if its dirty and its food and water.. i hope i can get its trust of me.. because i really want pet and touch its feather..

True story: Tilley has been a member of the flock for 18 years. She was 6 when we got her. She had a mate named Mica for 14 years. She lost Mica 4 years ago. Tilley is going to be 25 in 2025. When Mica died she was extremely sad. She was distant and almost depressed for sometime and seemed to be getting worse. My wife got a new I-pad and the old one worked but we were just going to recycle it. You know where I am going. And yes, thought we should give it a try, why not? So we set it up, put on you tube with lovebirds doing what they do. It was an instant hit. She perked right up. She watched and watched. Then approached the I-pad and was talking a ton to the other birds. After a while she found she could change the channels (and does all the time now). . She flipped through them at random and finds what she wants. She would sit on the i-pad looking down at it and when the birds flew away she would whip around to see where they went. (we video some of this). Anyway, Tilley just got her 3rd used i-pad and looks forward to it daily. (seeing her happy, ringing her bell when excited is so cool to see). So if you have a old i-pad or whatever, give it a try instead of throwing it way. They might like it, no guarantee but you never know, plus it is great watching there excitement.

Hii ive raised my love bird since he was a week and half since his mom abandoned him hes now over 9 months old when ever me and him have a special moment he does a grun/growl sounds not like hes angry he makes is so low and soft but it has a deep sounds and when i kiss him he makes the sound more and kisses me back and he even makes it when he mimicks my name what does it mean? and is it normal for him to chew on my hair?😂 (The sound sometimes sounds like sneezing but its not sneezing) Also i saw a video that love birds like to be in groups since he started to crawl or walk he would go to attack other birds feet idk why aswell as ppl thebmoment he sees a stranger he goes to them curious then he bites them for no reason and comes back to me I just want to get him a friend but he doesnt want to😭 also when i lay down and he sits on my collarbone when i sing/talk he also makes the noise and chiros lowly abit as if hes singing with me butbhe doesnt dance at all

I have had to grab my youngest lovebird twice after he came here, because he fell down behind some furniture and got stuck, and after that he doesn't trust me at all. I've had him for three months and I tried and tried. He's 5 months old. Is there any chance I can build trust with him again? He bit me very forcefully when I held him - my finger bled 😢
