When you take a big double whammy hit to your wellbeing like that, then I can’t think of a better way to help soothe and heal yourself than being outdoors in the cold clear air and amongst the beauty of nature. If it’s good for the soul it’s good for the mind. Great video, simple no fuss fishing. Thank you Ben for sharing it with us. All the best and hope you find the time to do get out and do it again soon. 😊👍🏼

I've got some 0..10g inline pole floats chianti and rugby ball for carp when would you use them pal??
@BenFiskFishing9 ай бұрын
Hi Peter I'm not a fan of inline pole floats other than jiggas. Water inside makes the float bristle sit differently etc. Chianti style are good for f1s & silvers through the water on the drop with strung out 10s 11s etc,. 0.1 is a buy light for carp, I dont go below 0.2 for carp as it's simply not stable enough.
@johnd853811 ай бұрын
Keep your fishing simple???? You're fishing a puddle sat on all that scaffolding that's unecessary that costs a bomb. Simple my arse. A cheap chair, rod and reel in that place would get the same results. fishermen like you have bought into thinking the more you spend and more tackle you've got will make you better at catching fish. Bollocks....being born a natural angler is priceless....people like you are paying through the nose for what a good fisherman gets for next to nothing.

Thanks for not explaining what F1's are. (Turns out F1 carp is a genetic cross between a Common carp and a Crucian carp - we call them Silver Crucian in Eastern EU)
@BenFiskFishing2 жыл бұрын
Had you asked in the first place I would have explained 🤷♂️🤷♂️ and yes f1 is short for first cross of those species 👍

Hi Ben, I recently had a rush of blood and went out and bought my first pole. I then discovered the mine field associated with pole floats. Your video has helped no end. It's by far the most in deapth yet easy to follow one I've found, thank you. The follow up one you mention regarding sizes would be most appreciated.

I used this a lot, but also found that just 2x8s on a standard hooklength worked really well too if you felt the loop wasn't right

Don't get it. How can it stretch 6 times more than conventional elastic? That would mean that it stretches 30 times it's original length!
@baldrickscunningplan61542 жыл бұрын
Cadence CS5 is far better. Much lighter,faster line retrieve, 3 more bearings,Spare spool and half the price of the Horizon reel.
@tomstanfield4602 жыл бұрын
Wish I seen this video much earlier. I just kitted out my new drennan red range 11m with all slik elastic one got 10-12 12-14 14-16 as my venue is natural and has plenty of snags and lots of big lumps in avage 6lb with them going up to 14lb. Got to say my favourite is most definitely 14-16 yellow as it just gets job done. Great video Ben. Thanks 😊

Ben when do you use stotz and when do you use shots please, new to the game
@BenFiskFishing2 жыл бұрын
Hi Geoff I use shot when catching a lot of fish like silvers and f1s as I dont want them to move - stotz are softer so move about a lot. I use stotz for carp on 0 .18mm pole line or above as shot easily ping off thicker lines.
@slavaslava52302 жыл бұрын
What is the maximum casting distance for waggler fishing?Pls advice from your own long distance angling experience. P. S. I am gonna feeding with spomb, cobra or other carp fishing tackles)). For fish bite- binocular fishing glasses. 20 gramms cralusso rocket float and 17 ft rod with 10-35 grams test.
@BenFiskFishing2 жыл бұрын
We dont fish like that in England. We only tend to fish at long range with a feeder. On the waggler we fish as far as we can feed with a catapult, which for carp with big pellets is usually 35-40m. Slider float fishing with groundbait balls might be slightly further but its not a commonly used method here.
