So many armchair rabbit hunters in this comment section. You dont need more than 1 dog to rabbit hunt. All it takes is 1 good dog to perform a successful hunt. This video is obviously evidence of that. And to the moron's who say it takes a lazy hunter to hunt rabbits with dog(s), you're just ignorant and missing the point of dog huntin. If you can kick 3 rabbits up in 20 minutes and successfully kill all 3 with headshots then you're obviously hunting a rabbit rich environment. Here in western NC you can hunt all day with a pack of 8 dogs and 7 shooters and be lucky to jump 4 or 5 rabbits. And trust me, you need the dogs because you wouldnt stand a chance of harvesting the rabbit without them. Not to mention the amount of time and work it takes to make a good rabbit dog. Congratulations on a good hunt, and sorry for your loss of Buzz. I'm sure his presence in the field will be missed.

Man Pat, Buzz is a great dog! When you can go out, and get 20 rabbits in one hunt that is where it is at! The area y'all hunt in has soooo many rabbits that I'm sure half those rabbits were sneakers just trying to get out of Dodge. Great video. It takes me back to my younger days when hunting with dogs, here in my area, was plentiful. I just found your channel, and will subscribe to it. You put out some great videos that I can relate too. Please be safe, and God bless!

That’s cool you hunt how you want I’ll hunt how I want. You must be on the Dave Owens dick sucking list also that thinks your the only one that hunts turkeys right. People like you is what’s wrong with the hunting community. If you wanna say no decoys then you shouldn’t be aloud to use a call either just your natural voice and no camo either oh yea and don’t you dare use tss to get a advantage on how far and more pellets you can get. The Dave Owens dick riding community is what’s wrong with turkey hunting grow the hell up and be glad we can still hunt in this county and hope more people get into it.

Those aren't yelps. It actually needs to sound like a "yeee-ehlll--pp". And chirping and squawking aren't turkey vocabulary, either. Feeding hens sound like chickens talking to each other when they walk up behind you. None of that stupid "poip" crap either. You called him to death. My Gosh. After you check him the second time, you should put all calls down and get ready. What you told him was. "Stop. I'm on the way." Cuts them off right where they are every time. Also,If you're not moving around you won't sound authentic. See more videos on WHICH turkey sounds to use and WHEN. I just can't believe this is real. You can move all around, talk, and keep loud mouth calling while a wild Tom is right in front of you? No, you can't.

Thanks for watching I think I’ll pass on watching turkey calling videos seeing how I’ve killed my fair share of turkeys pretty much at least 1 a year in my home state since I’ve started and called in numerous more for other people on private and public land. I may not be the best turkey caller but obviously what I do works and brings turkeys in so I’m fine with that and yes I called a lot but that video was shortened for KZbin that was over about a hours time and I was only calling to him some he had hens and I started calling and talking with the hens and they kept responding until I called them in and he follow then came in running. And yea that was a Jake in the decoys and he was so dumb and love struck it didn’t matter what you did he was locked on them being real birds. Thanks for the advice hope you have a good season cause I know I will we as a group killing multiple birds every season and have fun that’s what it’s about.

@@boogersnatcher9915 again thanks for watching never said or mentioned anything about professional just a guy that grew up in the country that loves to hunt and fish. I enjoy getting out there just as much or more than most and do the best I can and have fun while doing it that’s all I care about. The way you talk you must be a professional since you can give calling lessons and seem to know all the ins and outs, dos and don’t of turkey hunting. You’ve had to have killed hundreds of birds at this point with all the skill and pointers you have sound like a seasoned vet.

I never use dogs unless I'm hunting waterfowl for them to retrieve the ones that land in the water, me personally I think if you need a dog to hunt rabbits you're not that good of a hunter lol.
@patrickbearden3299
@patrickbearden3299 Жыл бұрын
And you would be a idiot I can turn that right around and say your a lazy ass hunter if you can’t retrieve your own ducks and have to use a dog you walk out there yourself or use a boat or something to get them and stop being lazy. Rabbits ain’t hard to kill standing and waiting on one to hop out or stomping brush piles to run them out isn’t any diff. I use a dog because that is what these dogs are breed to do is hunt rabbits and they love chasing them just like a retriever is breed to retrieve birds. I love dogs and watching them do what the was breed and intended to be used for there is nothing better than listening to them and seeing how excited they get to go hunt i could give to shits it we killed a rabbit or not it’s about the dogs. I can go stand on my back porch and kill rabbits by doing nothing if i want to that’s not what it’s about it’s about those dogs getting to run and live like what they are meant to. Killing rabbits honestly takes no skill as a hunter that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard but if you can get that then stop being a lazy ass hunter and get your own damn ducks but wait that’s what that dog loves to do is retrieve so you let it duh we have a lab that we use for waterfowl also cause we love dogs and she loves to hunt so thats what we let her do. Always some moron that thinks he has to chime in and say something.

@@patrickbearden3299 aww I made the big baby butt hurt lol. Sounds like something a horrible hunter would say lol. It does take a little skill to hunt rabbit cause you don't want a shit ton of pellets in you're meat, also a dog is cheaper than a boat and I'm not trying to go swimming fully clothed at 8am a dog can do it better cause they have thick fur haha. But go ahead keep using you're dogs and I'll just kick them up the old fashion way.

Found a way to find it no I’m not butt hurt at all I’m just saying there is really no skill as a hunter to rabbit hunting kicking a brush pile or briar patch isn’t being a skilled hunter i couldn’t understand if it was running deer or something cause deer you have to go look for sign and find a good area and wait and see play the wind and stuff like that but for rabbits there is no skill at all you kick every brush pile you see and kill them that’s not being a good hunter at all that just doesn’t have anything to do with it and yes I know boats are more I’m just saying you use a dog for that as I do also it’s no diff you could get a kayak but no man I’d rather you use the dog that’s what they are bred for just like a beagle to hunt rabbits use the dogs man they love it they live for that shit us dog for waterfowl that’s awesome I love watching our dog retriever ducks she’s shakes until she gets to retrieve another one then dogs live for that shit. All I’m trying to say is rabbit hunting really doesn’t take skill as a hunter stomping brush isn’t a skill I’ve stomped plenty when I didn’t have a dog so I’m not talk down about that I’m just saying rabbit hunting isn’t like being a skilled hunter anyone can stomp brush you know they are gonna be in it that’s not a hunting skill that’s all I’m saying I say use the dogs man.
