IMO they totally ruined this show with the singing. It's the entire second half of the show and it's somewhat out of tune and faulty equipment. There's literally nothing that singing adds that couldn't be accomplished by a trumpet soloist and small ensemble. I hope that phase of DCI stays gone forever.

Is all the crowd noise fake? People screaming in random places and generally making noise where they are normally just listening. Super distracting.

usually stuff like impressive drills/features, this show was ridiculous start to finish, and some color guard solos too in quiet sections. also carolina is known for crazy brass so everyone was just hyped lol

The first four minutes and thirty-six seconds of this show: Absolutely amazing. Then, the ballad starts and it all turns to garbage with all the vocal crap.

7 years later I realize they added a phrase to the ending late season, where the snares switch places and play some more crazy choppy stuff. Probably has something to do with why this show is one of the best

as poorly executed as this show was, just think about how terrifyingly hard this show was as a whole like omg. Just thinking about everything about it, a lot of the drill, the prop, the book, the listening environments, the tempo. It seems so near impossible to get all of that and have this show executed at its best.

Okay but, if the execution was better this year, the shows would've placed top 3 easy. This is the best opener they've had in so long. It's all the best things the bluecoats do for 4 solid minutes. The arrangements this year are out of this world.

To me objectively the best musical selections for a modern show. Say what you want about the drill, choreo, props, etc but presented as an audio file like this it's a masterpiece.

While I do understand why the ending was changed, I really prefer this closer musically over the new one. Superb show nonetheless and still is one of my favorites from crown

Have commented on this before, but could not AGREE WITH YOU MORE. I recall all the chatter that summer on Drum Corps Planet, and the Pulse Night Club tragedy was the last straw: a rewrite was inevitable. Still, this was THE version that delivered an epic finale. Dunno if anything was gonna unseat "DSU" in '16, but this [musical] ending was meant for Indy.
