Hmm, so here's my two cents. It's a metaphor (lmao pun intended). We in the real world constantly fantasize and expect greatness from fantasy worlds. "Man, my life sucks. I wanna shoot fire balls and explore dangerous lands." Yet, we stay ignorant to the horrific creatures and murderers which lurk in such fantasy. Many of us see that world as a Utopia. A break from our lives. Similarly, the people of Euchronia see our world as a Utopia. A world where all tribes are unified as one (humanity). A world that is lit up at night, without fear of monsters. A world without witches that turn you into frogs! So the metaphor shows true in how we as the audience fantasize about fictional worlds, whilst the fictional world in this case is fantasizing about us!

I think the idea of the real world being considered a "utopia" is either a sick ironical joke or the fact that there is no magic irl, making the caste system based on magical prowess obsolete. And it is said in the latest trailers that "monsters manifest because of magic in the air"...ergo, a magic less world means no monsters? But that there is the ironical joke part: *Many monsters can form within the hearts of people, no magic needed*

I think you missed a pretty obvious reading of this piece. The verses that aren't the chorus represent the two other followers of Dandyism. Zato-1 and Nagoriyuki respectively. Both of them have reached for something that they wanted, and in doing so have lost something that they need. Zato reached for power, and inso blinded himself literally, but also blinded himself to all emotions metaphorically. Nago wanted to continue his fighting forever, but he lost all thrill in it when he realized he could never truly lose. Both of them, through their own volition, reached out and attained something, but feel their hearts hardened by the fact that they lost what they needed. The Chorus then, is Slayer's response. A life lesson to his youngsters. You're not that important, you're not that special, reaching your goals is not the end of everything, this too shall pass, enjoy the ride while you can.
