The book keeping trading sorts of abilities could be a whole supplement. I agree though the keel of the game is adventure.

Regarding ash, just as a substance, I'm just immediately reminded of the potential for explosive fires created by flammable particulate. Like a grain silo fire.

1:51:51 I think the problems people have with likenthe 5.5 thing Tyler was talking about is that the onus of game design shouldn't be shifted onto the consumer. To me that usually indicates poor game design if the user is immediately changing or ignoring things.

Cool camping abilities could be something like the ability to divert a bad random encounter that would have otherwise caused the intended rest to not happen

i constantly have players that will go though their character sheet trying to find a way to do something, and i have to interrupt them and ask "what do you WANT to try and do here?" then we figure out how to turn it into rolls

I haven't finished watching this, but... Hey, Sargasso Deep Ones? Editing in some notes as I watch: I don't think they get natural armor, but the rigors of a swimming life could give them strength and toughness. Cold Resistance/Immunity? Barnacle armor is cool. Higher Swim speed? Some kind of Pack/school coop action bonus? Also, I need me some Creature from the Black Lagoon references in here. Salt Marsh, Tidal, Sargasso, Blue Hole (that's good!), Abyssal (instead ofHadal), Elder? I think the lantern fish one should be pretty blind, too. The light should primarily benefit the rest of the crew.

I keep thinking of mashing up Dracula and the Isle of Dr. Moreau. Run "The Count, the Castle, & the Curse" with marooned pirates. And, to the name request: La Madre de La Sangre. Could be the (cursed) ship, could be the pirate, but a loyal and blood bound crew, do not know they are serving "their mother's" quest for revenge against the vampire that turned her.

First of all, thank u for ur wonderful pirate RPG and for the adventure. Actually the Adventure Sinking of F'tagn got me in for the whole Thing after i saw it. And all the Material are greatly done, adventures all Look great. And im thankful that indigenous people for Exemplar the caribs are not potrayed as simple men Eater But it would be wonderful to see more information about indigenous people in Florida and the borders of the carribean and maybe the maroons as a faction(Runaway organized slaves)

Loved both the sidetrack to music \m/ and the reference made that some musical genres are similar to ttrpgs (mainstream like mustacheica to brutal underground say like Wolfpack/WolfBrigade) . Often underground projects (of any medium) will have so much more desire and a genuine want to make the 'customer' happy after the purchase, lifestyle vs. fad. I need to wear my Dave t-shirt now.

A thought on the maps: I know sourcing poster tubes for the larger ones may be a pain, but unrolling a map onto the table rather than unfolding it feels like it fits the fantasy really well. Also don’t have to deal with ridges
