I had the same problem. It's because the dirt is higher than the slab, also older garages were built with some type of sheet metal along the outside wall to keep water out. I tore out the old sheet metal and replaced it all around the garage, about 3 inches deep. It's MUCH cheaper that pouring concrete or buying gravel by the bag load..

This is my favorite Christmas song! We would always play this album while decorating the tree for many years when I was a child. Those days are long gone but for my terrific memories and their tears.

What parts store in or near Flint had that rubber disk? I’m in that area of MI. Mine is torn up and nobody online has it anymore. Seems unobtainable now.

I learned of this album when I bought the 45 of Open Arms in early 1982 and Little Girl was on the B-side. With no internet back then to research it, I was fortunate enough to have a very knowledgeable record store manager who not only knew of the album but special ordered a copy for me. Easily one of my 3 favorite Journey albums. Love Snow Theme, Moon Theme, and When the Love Has Gone the most.

The movie can be found on KZbin. Search for Dream After Dream Japanese Dub. You really have to watch the whole movie to appreciate it. Creative, artistic and mystical

This is happening because the dirt or whatever you have around your garage is higher than the concrete slab. When it rains the dirt soaks up the water and it travels between the garage frame and the concrete. One of the best ways to get rid of it is to dig a trench about a foot wide all the way around. Nail a concrete expansion joint with a cap around your garage and the pour concrete in that trench so the concrete is above the elevation of you slab. Then back fill it with top soil or mulch but make it a bit higher so it pitches away from your house.

The yard slopes down, and water flows down and under the wall of the garage. I can't afford to do anything with it, it still floods.

@@Jeffnham I know I’m in the same boat…everytime it rains it goes under the walls and floods my garage

I don't know, probably for extra support. Garage was built in the 1940's.

Sandcastles' and the album 'Dream After Dream' was so rare and hard to find in yesteryear. In the old days you had to search record shops, have connections at radio stations etc to get certain rare vinyl. One day on deployment way up at the top of Maine I was walking the streets of some little town with a friend, we went into a Record Store and they had this 'Secret' Recording I had only read about I might have somehow got it for $ 5 might have been $ 15. Japanese (as usual) import and a Soundtrack Journey did for a movie with an Orchestra. This was immediately my favorite and there is no guitar. Steven an Orchestra and Greg Rolie's fabulous spacey keyboards. If Neal is on here he's hard to hear...

I had never known that this existed at all back in 1980, and I was a huge Journey fan! I didn't find out about this album until I found this at a used record store about 12-13 years ago!

I’ve recently got a copy of this vinyl but I have a few questions because I’m starting to believe the one I have is fake. Mine is a bit wobbly and it just doesn’t seem right it also didn’t bring a protective cover that most vinyls usually have. Could you please answer these questions I would really appreciate it if you could compare and let me know. 🙏😊
@Jeffnham6 ай бұрын
It's wobbly because your copy is warped. Also, this album has a unique cover as you can see in my video. Keep searching for a better copy.

I have a french drain in front of my garage door and that prevents any flooding to the entrance.. My garage still floods in the corners, ive tried just about everything to get water away from the corners and it still floods. Going to try to just fill dirt around the flooding areas and see how it goes. Seeing how the water seems to be coming up from the ground, im not sure how effective filling in the cracks on the floor will be. Seeing a lot of people here, like me, with no answers so heres my part of the brainstorm.
