I'm a nurse...ask patient do u have diabetes, high blood pressure etc...patient answers no. Sweet head to admitting doctor who then comes out and says "u said he doesn't have diabetes or hypertension but he's on a shit load of meds for both"...me: 😮💨😡🤦♀️

One of the many reasons dna testing at birth should be mandatory women will cheat and have someone else’s kid and take that shit to their deathbed with 0 remorse

My husband had to hold my had because it hurt so bad and I had only been with him, so was scared/anxious about being exposed like that. I felt like I was having a miscarriage afterwards, that's how bad it hurt. Then the female assistant started doing the exams instead of the male doctor and it didn't hurt nearly as bad. Not even like he was being reckless, just didn't know proper depth I guess..

That is just sad-I always think of all the questions the medical staff members would ask me and create a folder in my phone w all the screenshots, docs, previous visits and etc. so that I don’t take too much of doctors/nurses time nor of other parents waiting for their appointment. It really makes me sad seeing them excited just because I’m being a decent human being, but I’m also glad to make their jobs easier🩷 Treat others as you’d wish to be treated yourself!

I mean conception is a tricky thing because theres this whole window at the end of nine months where it can just happen. On a side note thats terrifying, just waiting for your body to go through an incredibly violent upheaval with the notice of "it happens when it happens". Yeah fuck that so much. Edit: I think the window is two weeks though so i could definitely see contentious moments if say the difference was like 2 months rather than 2 weeks off, because yeah, thats pretty sus.

Happened all the time when I was an EMT! I once spent an entire call translating for the patient and the charge nurse walks in an says, “you mean to tell me you’ve been in the US for X # of years but don’t speak English?!” He then said, “I speak it a little bit.” 🤦🏾♀️

My husbands family was determined to get our son a dna test when he was born bc supposedly to them the time lines didn’t match, and I’m thinking like….were you there first of all? We ended up agreeing to get them to finally stfu😂😂and guess what!? It worked cuz we were obviously right. We had met at a party and what started as a one night stand (yikes, i know) has been an almost four year relationship. I got pregnant the first time we hooked up. Was wild bc the relationship before him, my partner wanted a baby so bad but nothing. I meet this new guy and BOOM 😂. Best thing that’s ever happened to me tbh.

My parents were only two years apart but my father looked much older and my mother looked much younger. When my father developed dementia in his mid-60s and broke his hip, the rehab workers thought my mother was his *second* wife and were shocked that not only was she his first and only wife but was also the mother to all of his four grown-up children.

Do people not realize that the nurse/assistant is the one updating medical records and not the doctors??? Doctors don’t do it. If you have an emergency and your records aren’t up to date then that could be really bad.
