Good afternoon Mike and Karrie. The solar array looks great. I did the math quickly and think 5500 Watts? Man you have a lot of birds. Do you eat the ducks? Your pigs are getting big. Now let's talk about firewood lol. You better get burning because you have a lot of firewood. And you have a lot of timber timber laying around. You're going to be busy cutting all that. I really liked the editing in this video. My bearing went out on my drive wheel on the OS27 today. I have to find some bearings for it. Pretty easy to pull out. Have a great weekend.
@AppalachianFarmstead
@AppalachianFarmstead 22 күн бұрын
@@BigelowWoodcraft Hey Jerry, yes 5500 watts and the other array I believe is 6250 watts. Probably not going to show the wiring part. I need to move on to the next project. Yes we do eat the ducks, mainly the drakes. Absolutely amazing meat, taste like beef. The pigs are HUGE! I really like splitting firewood and holy smokes I have a lot of logs to cut and split. Never really kept track of the amount of wood I burn but I’m guessing around 3 cord. I’ve got a fire going tonight 😂 That’s funny you mention the editing, I spent around 5 hours maybe more editing and honestly I wasn’t pleased with it. That sucks about the bearing, I think you’re in my head. I was milling yesterday and videoing and the mill started screeching at idle but sounds normal above idle. I’m thinking it’s the clutch. Chainsaw timber frame is how I do it as well lol. Are you adding panels (more capacity) for your house or something else. It appears to me you could land a 747 on it. I'd put a couple diagonals on the back side and a couple 2x6s from 6x6 to 6x6. I wouldn't bother plating unless you see something odd after you put the panels up. You deserve 1k. I found if I keep my videos less that 15 minutes and make a couple of videos instead of one long one my videos do much better. I try and get to 10 minutes if I can. I edit out everything that doesn't add value. If you check your analytics you'll see how long people watch. Let's say they stick around on average 7 minutes. Well there are missing 23 minutes of a 30 minutes video. If you break it up to 15 minutes you got them for two 7 minutes doubling your views watched. I also add a couple shorts a week. If those gain traction you kick butt on subs. Keep at it. I love you videos
@AppalachianFarmstead
@AppalachianFarmstead Ай бұрын
@@BigelowWoodcraft Good morning Jerry, yes I’m doubling my solar capacity for the house. My goal is to be off grid or as close as I can get. I do think it’s as strong as any manufactured solar ground mount. The 2x6’s will definitely be quicker/easier. I was concerned about the screws in the end grain, but if you think it’s all good, that’s good enough for me. I’ve done some changes on the back end of the channel.
