@@JoanneMcCarthy-tu3bw the jars are fantastic! I buy them from Queensland here in Australia. The Good thing part is they are great quality and I just wash them in the dishwasher. The company is called QUEENSLANDER AVIARIES. They have many great products. These jars really help upgrade your sprouted seed game 😅👍 hope that helps

@@rubynaz6096 for the first few days they are sort of helped and encouraged by the parents, after a while they get the idea of what's food and how to eat, and eat completely by themselves. Doesn't take long. They more rely on the parents for protection, warmth and guidance 👍

@@rubynaz6096 hand rearing is not something I'm experienced in.... but as in the video... starting with the smaller softer foods is a good idea, and very shallow dishes of water. Usually the parents will hold food in their beaks and then make a noise to indicate to chicks that they need to pay attention and eat..... if you need to do it yourself I'd suggest perhaps using the egg and biscuits mix.... also chopped up greens, and possible mashed corn or veggies... they do eat seed also but it's usually after they have started on softer foods....

Yeah I usually go to the annual finch bird sale In Canberra, unfortunately I couldn't make it this year

Yes the game is on the disc.... but it also had a 15gb update download which would require internet. I would recommend being connected to the internet to play this game. Keep an eye out in the future though as they may patch it more to enable more off-line modes. These days it's pretty rare for a game to be off-line only.... most games require updates anyway 👍

@@crazysithslave thanks, when I saw the substrate I thought wow why did I not think of that. Sand seems like a good idea because you can clean it and replace it when needed.

@@AEcclesiates yes, it's relatively cheap for a bag too, I get mind from bunnings. .. I think thry were $8 a bag buy may be $10 now. Yes I just use a small brush and scoop to clean the top layer off.... or when need it just scoop it out and replace it. Depending what birds I have I replace mine fully once or twice a year.... and probably half replace it once a year also in the 'high traffic areas' like under perches or where I walk in..... @@SuzanBayles it's something easy you can do, if you in Australia there is a company in qld called Queenslander Aviarys, they have some good quality sprouting mixes for sale, especially aimed at a bit larger birds such as yours. But yes you can use your own seed mix. Glad you like my video and I hope your birds love it 😀

I wanted to make a detailed video of how and what I feed them , and put footage of the quails themselves, I explained in detail all the foods I used, perhaps you skipped past those sections. I don't make short videos, I prefer to give more detail and talk to people about my processes,it's what I enjoy doing, it's not for everyone I'm sure 😊, Thanks for watching 👍
