The Water Proof System prevents any flooding if water is leaking. On the bottom of the machine there’s a cover with a sensor. If there’s any water leak in the water inlet hose or inside the dishwasher, it will automatically close the water inlet valve (this grey chunk on the water inlet hose) and start draining, even if you turn off the dishwasher. This Water Proof System is something that Miele will give you a life long warranty for. it will always prevent flooding and water damage.

Did the fault ever occur again after the technician fixed it?

Technician fixed it. He removed the base of the kitchen cabinet, then base of the dishwasher and eith syringe took little water out.
