Torrid has several style of jeans. The color makes a difference. Dark wash isn't processed as much and therefore are very small to sizes. If you like stretch get light wash. The boyfriend jeans/leggings are sized lots larger. I'm normally a 20 but have to size down to a 14 (yes)! If you interested in dark wash size up.

I know dark denim usually has less stretch because of the processing but TBH I would expect that brands should account for that when designing their styles and choosing fabric. I know lots of other brands that do this already, so honestly it surprises me that Torrid doesn't. Sounds like their jeans might unfortunately not be for me in that case, as I'm not a fan of light wash jeans. Thanks for letting me know they run so vastly different!

I love Torrid too, but their jeans don't love me! I wouldn't mind so much if I lived in the US and could try them on in store but shipping to NZ + our terrible exchange rate makes it an expensive exercise to get wrong 😩

@@Thisismeagankerrblog I bet! That's something they should work on. Shipping is expensive but it shouldn't be prohibitively expensive. Maybe the next time they have a deep sale you could get a different style. Boyfriend jeans are so soft and I think they had a grey wash that's darker.

The only advice I can give on Torrid jeans is the darker they are the smaller. I wear a 14 in the light denim but a 16 in the dark. Also, I find the super high waisted jeans fit me better in a size 14. I'm not sure what body type I am but if I had to guess I'd say apple? My weight is all in my stomach area. Hope this helps.

I have very large legs, and I have incredible problems finding pants - loose flowy pants are my preference, but are impossible to find pre-made to fit. My mother in law helped me to alter a pair of jeans recently, to widen the legs. She was able to sew a panel in each leg along the outside seam using a pair of jeans from the op shop in a close colour match as a fabric source. She then added some lace/ embroidery to make it all cohesive. I know it’s a lot of work, but as someone who will probably never be able to find something not only comfortable, but looks reasonable, it was worth the effort. I was lucky, and the waist band fit, so the alteration was slightly more simple. I’m sure a seamstress could do something similar (sadly adding to the cost yet again - I’m in Perth Western Australia, so I understand exorbitant shipping costs). Best of luck Meagan! 😊❤️🌻

I love that you and your mother in law were able to customise some to fit you! I remember adding in colourful fabric to my jeans when I was a teenager to make them in to flares, so I definitely remember how to do that 😊 Will keep an eye out for loose flowy pants and make sure I share them if I find some! x

USA🇺🇸: and im Apple shaped. I like Torrid jeans. Im a size 4× 26/28. I can fit a 26 in the jeggings but prefer the fit of a 28 also and i wait til they go in clearence for about $26 or under $30.

I really wish they would make these things affordable. For a single mother of three who is only making $50 a week (health reasons) I cant afford these. $170 for only a few pairs is disappointing.

Definitely agree that products like this should be financially accessible. Where are you based? I know they offer some payment options like Afterpay if you want to spread out the payments, and they occasionally have specials as well and are cheaper than other brands that make my size. Also I've found them much cheaper in the long run - I just bought another three pairs to replace some of the original ones I had that don't fit me anymore, and they came to just under $90. I would definitely have spent way more than that in 18 months on pads and tampons if I were still using them!

Hey, sorry I missed this! I currently wear NZ 24 underwear, and wear AU 24 (5XL) in Modibodi for the Classic Full Briefs. I wear the AU26 (6XL) in the Sensual High Waist Bikini Briefs, because those are the ones I wear on my heaviest flow day when I'm likely to be more bloated and sensitive. I hope that's helpful!

They're so so nice! Nice and lightweight too, so I can wear them when the heating is on over winter and not roast! Would definitely recommend the jogger styles from 17 Sundays for you as well, I have three different pairs and they're wonderful!
