hello sir, i want to ask, is it possible to move the panelview 550 mer file to panelview plus 600? please reply, thank you very much.
@revereelectric Жыл бұрын
For most instances the answer is yes. As long as the firmware in the Panelview Plus 600 is the same or newer than the version of the .MER file.”

Great review of the software to update the processor hardware. We also have tools to help select the wiring hardware to make the transition quicker and easier

That is a bad practice to add a pigtail to any shielded cable, this is not as effective as a direct 360° clamp, Pigtails in general can be a source of noise, there are many Shield clamps available even custom made to suit the application
@revereelectric2 жыл бұрын
We agree that 360 degree fittings/clamps are the best practice solution, and we even acknowledge them in the webinar at multiple points (the EMC Fitting at the motor junction box, the fixed Shield Clamp on EMC rail, and the Spring Shield Clamp on the same rail). Our intention with showing how to make a pigtail was to demonstrate the most effective way to utilize one, as the difference between a well-made pigtail and a poorly made one can be significant. This way when the decision is made to utilize a pigtail rather than a shield clamp of some kind, the noise issues can be held to a minimum. But you are correct, a 360 degree termination of the shield will always be the most effective method for mitigating noise. Please let your Revere Electric Account Manager know if you’d like to further this discussion, or send us a note for more information on this subject.

Hello, I did all in the video. But getting an synchronization fault on the encoder with code 16#fd0c 'The end device has a different grandmaster than the controller'. Do you have any idea for solution? Thanks.
@thomasroth2292 жыл бұрын
The most common problem is to make sure the Time Synchronization is enabled in the Logix controller under Controller Properties --> Date/Time. OR Check that the controller you are troubleshooting is the only one controlling the device encoder

Yes, but you call it back to Rockwell in the option rehost then you will able to download it again because it will recognize because it activated for another PC or Laptop. You must hold in hand the serial and the key.

There should be some kind of test to show and teach people in the trade how to calculate the SCCR for their application.

UL508A Supplement SB is the approved method for determining panel SCCR. Revere Electric, Rockwell Automation, and UL are teaming together for a UL508A and SCCR seminar on April 9-10 at Rockwell headquarters which will also include a tour of the high current lab. If you are not local or this training does not work with your schedule, UL offers this training multiple times a year around the country. lms.ulknowledgeservices.com/catalog/display.resource.aspx?resourceid=100612 Please let us know if you need anything else.
