So depressing, I’m from Lancaster, Pa deer and any other big game has been gone for 30+ years or more. Western PA is the only thing left other than eastern which only allows shot gun. I’m not a subscriber but just a person that follows hunting vids. Best of luck to you!

Picked up this exact model in same caliber for $150.00 The owner inherited it and was not a gun person. The bolt would only partially open so he thought it was broken. It was just a screw in the scope base that was a hair to long. Beautiful gun that has now found a forever home.

The ammo you are using is one of the most accurate rounds I have ever shot. As a police supplier and a TACT member in the late 80's and 90's, when my eyes were pristine, I used this ammunition for testing in all my 556 and 223 rifles' HB AR counter sniper, Remington 700 BDL HB, etc. It was highly unusual not to get 1/4 to 1/2" one hole, groups prone off a bipod at 100 yards. If my memory is correct, I believe the FBI was using this same round.

I love my P17. Great thing in a tiny package. I had some issues with the slide when I first bought it and found that the thread protector on the barrel had come loose and was causing some fails to eject and making the slide stick. Maybe check that out. Beyond that I've put several hundred rounds through it and it runs great!

Some bluetooth mics will let you directly monitor your voice through your audio output (headphones). I use an audio interface which lets me loopback my mixed audio. Or use a software DAW or some other mixing app that can output a virtual audio stream. OTOH, that's probably all overkill - you're more than capable of talking without headphones on 😂

Don't get rid of the 59 or 459. I did and I regretted losing both of them. Now, I needed money and there was no way around it for me. A cop friend of mine had a SS 459 (?). But she passed away before I could talk her into selling it to me. I don't know what happened to the gun but a dear friend now walks with the Lord. My favorite .22 rifle of all time. My granddad had one just like this with the full length barrel and mag, and the squirrel on the stock. I never ever had any trouble with that particular rifle feeding and/or ejecting. It was a real gem. That rifle disappeared on a varmint hunting trip with a bunch of friends, so one of my “buddies” has that rifle tucked away somewhere. I contacted everybody I could think of from that trip, but nobody seems to know where it is. I was pretty devastated when it came up “lost.” I found another one at a gun show for $100 that a guy said wouldn’t feed consistently… but I bought it, did a little work on it, and now it works great.

Great video! I have the S&W 469 and love the pistol. The one I have was produced in 1988. I bought it off a retired police detective in 1993 who used it as his backup weapon, and it was rarely fired, and it still looks and shoots like new. Thanks for the great history lesson!!

I have both rifles, they are both great deer rifles. I prefer my 30-30 as I grew up with it, .35 was passed down later on from my cousin. The .35 defiantly packs a bigger punch hands down and I use it mainly for hunting. I like to take off my scope and cowboy plink with my 30-30, the .35 can get your shoulder doing that after a while. The .35 round is also harder to come by. Secondly if you live in a state like NY the 30/30 can make a decent self defense rifle factoring the legal options now available, due to the ability to fire more rapidly then most bolt action rifles with less recoil then the .35. In conclusion if your looking for strictly a deer/medium game rifle then I’d go with the .35, if your looking for a all around great lever rifle and or teen/beginner deer rifle then I’d go with the 30/30.

I’ve owned some good glass from Nikon: marine binoculars, F2AS & FE cameras, 3-9x & 3-9x ProStaff III rifle scopes. The LED failed and rubber caps were deteriorated on the binoculars (with illuminated compass) after 35 years and I sent it in for an estimate. They sent me A NEW BINOCULAR! The ProStaff III BDC has been great. The non-model 3-9x is adequate for a cheapie. Shame to lose them.

All three of my Glenfield 60’s like CCI standard and subsonic ammo. But they get fussy with Remington Thunderbolts and high velocity Goldens. And they will do bargain box Federal stuff. But Aguila, nothing. Jammo matic. I think it’s the shape of the bullet and how it feed through the ramp.
