Just a small correction. The TCM is coded to the cars VIN, but will work in any similar car with a different VIN. it is programmed to the type of car. So any TCM from a BMW 530 will work in any BMW 530 but not in a BMW 325.

I had the same exact symptoms. Replaced everything. Nothing worked. The solution was NEVER place car iin comfort plus or eco. Apparently if the battery sensor is bad it causes insufficent volatage in this fuel efficient modes. I placed car always in comfort mode and problem solved.

Great video! I’m doing research before purchasing a GL/GLS and it seems the M278 has some weaknesses. The M276 seems like a really solid engine in the GL450. If the 450 has a ton of options, does anyone think that’s the better choice? I ruled out the GL63 as that engine is even more problematic than the 278.

Super! Now let me share a tip that would have made your job sooooo much easier... There is a video (google it) that shows how to get the shifter (and trans) out of P. First you remove the leather shift knob. Then while you pull the rod towards Neutral, and hit the top of the rod with a fairly heavy hammer (striking towards Neutral) and it will pop out of P. My car was stuck in P, I called ADAC (in Germany), he came and looked up the solution in the Mercedes Star Diagnoses CD and it explained about the hammer. He only had a rather small plastic hammer, and it didn't work. He was about to load my SL 500 on to the tow truck, whenI remembered that I had a heavy hammer in the trunk. I hit the shift rod with a good blow, and it popped right out of P. The next day I removed the shifter unit and sent it off to get it repaired. Please look up the video on how to get it out of P with the hammer procedure.

Hello. I have a 2010 pathfinder 4.0. When I put gear in D I have lags. Always about 2 seconds. R turns on quickly and without any problems. Changes gears smoothly while driving. only D has delays. If I increase the engine speed before engaging D, the gear will be engaged faster. what could it be? What do you think? electromagnet or something inside the box? . oil replaced. it wasn't very dark. the oil level is also ok. I will be grateful for your help

Love your work but I see a few things not ideal .fender covers are a must and injectors on the 276 engine dont need programming. Also you should torque the plenum bolts not just lock them down with snap on cordless. It's plastic
