I noticed no one pulled the wire mesh up as they were leveling? Wire mesh should have been on plastic footings, so wire was in the middle of slab as this would have held it more together.
@10footcustoms9311 күн бұрын
We did pull it up, probably not as consistently as we should have, but the raker and I were doing it when we could.
@kurtsmith465711 күн бұрын
Chair are best or even pieces of brick or paver but ive seen alot of contractors pull it up as they go. Obviously chairs will lift the steel to a more consistent elevation but as long as it ends up somewhere in the middle of the slab your ok. Personally, i like rebar on chairs and then laying some runs of chain link fence over top, the chain link, i can get at the scrap yard basically for free. Run a 4 slump in portland mix (not fly ash) w/ fiber w/ a compacted lime rock base.

What wire did you use from the cluster of wires, for your Fuel? I believe I read it’s a TAN wire. I also read, the high beam indicator is a LT GREEN, left turn is a LT BLUE, right turn is a DK BLUE, Ignition is PINK, 12v is RED, Also what wire did you use for the actual dash lights when you pull out the switch?

The front of the door panels need to butt up against something to seal. If you install a 2x6 on the vertical edges of the opening, you can install the panels against them, then install the tracks and adjust them easier as the panels will be solid. Also helps it you install long inside 2x6's all the way up to the top of the door travel the the track has a one piece solid mounting surface tied into the framing above the doors

@10footcustoms933 ай бұрын
While I will agree with you that I never showed the "actual" shift rails out of their packaging, that does not mean I didn't, in my opinion, do a good job at promoting the product. There was no reason to remove them in this episode; because they weren't being installed till a later episode, where they are out of their package. There was no need to take a chance at damage or losing one, when the original parts are identical other than material. I appreciate you watching, I'm sorry you feel I did the sponsor of the episode wrong.

I like the way you describe the workings. You describe the same way as I do, so I understand. You are talking about the + connection on the coil correct? The + terminal on the coil will have 2 wires on it? What year did the solenoids stop having the 'I' and the 'S' on those two small terminals? Thanks

Yes the + terminal on the coil will have 2 wires on it. I am uncertain when or if the "I" and "S" terminal solenoids stopped being used.

Great way together a shop space in a long, narrow space. How are you going to use a double garage door so close to your home? Also, what are you planning to keep water from flowing under the wall from the footing outside? Thanks for sharing!
@10footcustoms936 ай бұрын
There is 13' between my house and the double door. If I calculated correctly, once it's all cleaned up and parts are organized, 2 cars should, very carefully, be able to pull into the double door. Water is an issue, the city has very specific things I can and can't do; it's going to be tricky.

@@10footcustoms93 I just built a 24x32 stick built shop in my backyard. In addition to using a foam sill seal ( 3.5" wide and 1/4" closed cell foam strip) under the sill plate, I sealed the edge of the bottom wall plate inside and out to the concrete with a bead of Henry's 900 flexible sealer/flashing. It goes on like caulk and dries to a super strong and flexible, rubberized bead. I've noticed that buildings like yours don't come with a 90 degree flashing that your seal to the concrete and the bottom rail or molded foam strips to fill the gaps in the sheeting ribs . The flashingt also covers the bottom rib of the sheeting to keep larger insects/vermin out. There's a lot of options out there and I'm sure you'll find one that works for you!

Dude, your bearing looks fine. The back side of the bearing isn’t that important, the inside is what matters. The side that touches the crank itself is the bearing surface and if it is in good shape, you should be fine.

Check the pedal bracket before you tear it down again. A bent bracket will cause the clutch master to not engage clutch nor allow to shift into gear unless engine if off. The factory aluminum brackets always get torque twisted after years of the clutch pedal being operated. Just takes the slightest bend in the pedal assembly bracket and the master cylinder can't do its job. Other than that its 50 / 50 the disk is backwards. Happens.

Main place to check for rust on a fiero is behind the trunk carpet in the corners. The corners rot out as well as the frame rails under them. That was a pretty rare spec car when it was new, metallic blue was only offered in 87 and not too many of them around, pair that with the luggage rack deck lid and 5 speed couldn't have been too many like that. Real rare to see a fastback with a luggage rack.
